“Very comfortable hotel with a helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

We were very glad that we chose this hotel for our 5-day stay in Girona. The rooms felt new and were very comfortable; everything had been thought of. The location worked well for us. The train station is 20-25 minutes' walk from the old town; the hotel is 5 minutes from the old town and 15-20 minutes from the train station on foot. Girona is a charming town; we spent a day exploring the historic town core and walking the length of the city walls. We were very happy with our decision to use Girona as our home base for day trips to Barcelona and to the Figueres-Cadaques area.

Everyone at the front desk spoke English, a plus for us non-Catalan and non-Spanish speakers. The restaurant (Blanc) offered a lavish breakfast buffet, starting at 6:30 or 7am on weekdays, for an extra €12 per person. We liked the dinners there as well, but unfortunately the restaurant conforms to the Catalan custom of not opening for dinner until 8:30pm.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for a good rate found on Travelocity. The room's view reflected the rate!!! I just closed the draped and went to sleep - great bed and quiet. Breakfast was not included in my rate, but I decided it eat there anyway. The fresh squeezed OJ was spectacular. Many buffet choices, but only scrambled eggs which were luke warm. The bacon was extremely under cooked - did not eat it. The coffee was all self-serve out of a 1 cup machine. I would have preferred coffee service at my table. Breakfast choices were exactly the same both days. Cheeses, hams, and pastries were very good. Service by a young man from the Ivory Coast was delightful. My biggest problem is that the hotel made me pay for this room again even though I presented them with an e-mail from Travelocity clearly stating that it was paid in full - balance due at hotel =0.00 Euros. Since I have returned home, Travelocity has telephoned the hotel and they are to refund my money, otherwise I will dispute it on my credit card!!! Front desk person spoke good English and was helpful until the departing billing disagreement.

Even though our stay was short, the staff made us feel so very wecome. Rooms are clean and spacious with very comfortable beds and pillows. Location couldn't be better just a few steps overthe bridge and your in the old part of Girona which is really beautiful! Train and bus stations 15 min walk. Breakfast was delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice. We couldn't ask for anything more . Looking forward to going back for a longer stay in a great hotel and beautiful Girona!

Nothing too much trouble for the staff.
Comfortable quiet room with views of pedestrianised streets. Short walk to bridge to old town.
Good choice of buffet breakfast and lovely fresh squeezed orange juice, shame about nespresso coffee machine. Pool in the basement.

The hotel is perfectly situated..steps to the Historic area for the sights,as well as a host of excellent restaurants and shopping nearby.Very helpful and friendly front desk staff,as well as all employees that I encountered during the stay.Never got to use the indoor pool, but a bonus that certainly is.
Rooms are well equipped, super comfy beds, crisp sheets, minimal in design..it all works.
This is a well run hotel with caring staff and deserves the accolades!

The staff could not be more helpful from the moment we arrived, they we aware of prior requirements and requests, and when asked for help would certainly go the extra mile. Clean room, central location.

Friends recommended we stay here - and we would do the same.

Nothing extra special but great location, very quiet. very friendly and helpful reception staff who spoke excellent English when needed.

Nice room, comfortable bed, bathrobes and very nice bathroom with excellent use of space - very clever sink design.

we were in 308 - one of the quietest hotel rooms yet - one slight drawback was the lingering smell of previous smokers when we returned to the room but to be fair we didnt notice it when we checked in & we soon forgot about it when we came back - it was just as you walked in the room . Our other friends on this trip with us did not have the same problem.

we didnt eat in the restaurant but it does look nice & reviews well. There is a pool but we did not go & look. For great tapas night head to Txalaka or for fish ( amazing ! ) Arroz y Peis - i may have got the name slightly wrong it means Rice & Fish in Catalan.
