This is a great source of understanding about what makes this town, and the region, tick. There is a powerful display about the civil war and Franco years on the top floor - it's worth going just for that alone. The displays are 'snappy' and quickfire -deep, but don't go on too much.
Ground floor has industrial machinery in a very boring display, unless turbines are your thang, and a VERY UPSETTING place where they did not so much bury as dry out the old monks, sitting up around the walls. I'm still having therapy about that one.
But if you go to Girona go to this museum, just don't ask about the dead monks and enjoy the rest.
