“Beautiful Girona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

Lots of atmosphere, almost mystical in places, but a little difficult walking on cobblestones. We had three hours altogether in Girona, walked for all of that and were amazed how lovely it was in every direction. Loved the waterfront view from the bridges.

“magical”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2014

The jewish quarter, and taking a stroll for a few hours, is worth a day trip from Barcelona. Just take an easy stroll, see a lot of history, find some of the magical places to sit down on the grass and enjoy the scenery and then go back in the evening to Barcelona or wherever you go. Cafes etc., is available

“Girona, Spain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

The museum is extremely interesting, especially if you were in Southern Spain and visited the Jewish Quarters of Toledo, Cordoba, and Sevilla.
You learn how the Jews were treated in Moslem Spain vs. Christain Spain at the same time.

“The history of this town is amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

The entire tale of the Jewish captivity in this town was amazing. We spent time exploring the narrow streets behind the walls and gates. There is a lovely Jewish Museum but it closes at 2 so we were not able to visit. The city is well preserved and I definitely recommend a visit.
