This hotel is a good place to stay if you don't mind the 15-20 minute walk to the sights, a little more to the train station. It's pretty flat though so not a problem for the mobile.
The staff were really helpful and friendly, and were able to give all sorts of useful advice, which really helped make the best of our long weekend.
The rooms are spotless, as is the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was a good spread, didn't have any evening meals at the hotel as there was so much to choose from in the town itself.
Had a very good long home cooked lunch with a fixed price 14E menu, which was 4 courses and wine at the LLoret in Placa Independenia, but felt that the Mar Placa in the same square was very overpriced and the food not very well cooked.
Would definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay if you are driving, you park right outside, and in the summer the pool area would be a great place to relax after sight seeing.
Would probably try to stay a little more centrally next time though, particularly if only in Girona for a short while, or wanting to use the train regularly.
