“Amazing, gluten-free dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

What a dinner. A feast for the eyes and an exquisite delight for the tastebuds. I'd read about this restaurant specializing in fresh foraged herbs and edible flowers, so we decided to try it. Better yet, most of the choices on the menu were either gluten free or could be altered to be so. Gary's salad arrived--a wonderful mix of fresh figs, wild greens, and flowers. My rare grilled duck breast with wild berries and minted rice was outstanding. Everything tasted intensely itself, if that makes any sense: berries were essence of berries; minted rice was creamy, lightly minted and fresh; the duck breast was crisp on the outside, melting tender inside. Etc. We returned a few days later and had their regular fixed-price lunch (13.50€), which was quite nice but not exceptional. Next time, we'll do the luncheon "flower menu"--it'll cost more (24€) but I'm sure it will be worth it.

“Friendly staff and unusual but lovely menu”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2012

A bit of of the way but worth the trip for a menu where flowers play a key part. Very friendly staff who could not do enough for our group of 14. Unusual but good food particularly enjoyed the varied starters.

“Incredible food and fantastic service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2012

Arriving in Girona unable to speak SPanish and more importantly unable to speak Catalan caused a few problems. Friends had recommended the restaurnat but on arrival it was clear that they weren;t really prepared for slightly ignorant English only speakers. THeir solution was simply for the head chef and owner to come to our table and explain the menu in the best english she could. We were immediately put at ease by this and what followed in terms of food was simply outstanding.

We had been doing a food tour of Barcelona and then Provence but it was this little gem that provided the best meal by far of our trip. We opted for the 7 course degustation menu which, at €40, is a bargain and this was accompanied by an excellent wine taster menu for a mere €16.

I genuinely think that I will be hard pushed to have a better meal anytime soon. I will definitely be returning.
