Description: If you fancy seafood and tapas, this is the right place for you. Choquito is a Mediterranean-style restaurant with a fantastic view of the famous Market la Boqueria. Aside from the fresh salads and meat, Choquito offers a huge variety of cold and hot tapas. The stone vaults decorated by the colored filigrees create a welcoming ambiance which combines wood with the wall colours.

“Pricey, but look where you are, great food...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Last night of the trip, walked by several times prior without stopping, glad we did. The service was excellent. Started with some great tapas, delicious bread with spreads and quite good crisp white house wine. Did the mozzarella arugula salad, paella with seafood for two and rib steak with grilled potatoes. The food was absolutely delicious and we would go back on our next visit.

“VERY expensive , but what do you expect on La Ramblas !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

For our first night in Barcalona we chose this place at random for our wedding anniv' as I wanted to show my wife a good Tapas experience "sat at the bar" style . We managed this but at some cost ! Wow ! The food was quite good but for a few Tapas from the glass displays plus Patatas Bravas, Meat Balls, Chorizo, Mushrooms etc the bill came to 103 Euro's . The drinks were partly to blame as its 7 .15 for a large draft Beer and 16 Euros for a half Bottle of Vina Sol ( that costs 7 .50 for a Full Bottle at the mini-market ! )
Staff worked hard behind the bar and were quite helpfull.
Nice place and got a real buzz about but be prepared or look around !

“Fine but overpriced”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

We couldn't find the restaurant we were looking for so popped into here as our one and only eating experience on La Rambla. The food was fine, the service was very good and the wine excellent. But at £100 for two it was overpriced. Probably what you'd expect on La Rambla but I wouldn't go again.

“Very ordinary with rip off prices”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

We happen to visit this place during easter holidays with my family.
Ordered two paella (chicken and vegetarian), two soft drinks and chicken wings. The bill was just over 50 euros. I was bit shocked with the bill. The food quality was very ordinary. Had better paella at another place. Not again at this place. Avoid this place.
You may not find the drinks menu. It is a big mug which will cost you 5.50 euros. I think it is the norm on La Rambla. Be careful, And then there was a 10% tax. Didnt leave any tips !

“Best Paella in Barcelona.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

We had Paella at two other restaurants in Barcelona. One was the highest rated restaurant according to Lonely Planet travel guide, on the waterfront and we needed reservations. But later we took a chance and ate at Choquito's because it was near our hotel. It was Excellent, the service was great and the interior of the restaurant was cozy and comfortable. The plate for two had twice the seafood as the other restaurant and was a better price. Nice location, great food, courteous wait staff. Please note, if you order a large beer at most restaurants you get a half liter at this one they bring a full liter in an Oktoberfest style Glass!
