Stumbled across this restaurant a few doors down from our hotel on a quiet one way street. The kitchen with a massive Argentian BBQ can been seen from the front window. We observed a mouth watering thick steak searing on the grill with juices sizzling on the coals below. It was hard to stop drooling.
A local family restaurant based on customers we observed. And the waiters were very nice and attentive.
We shared two mains, lamb cutlets (€18) and the chorizo steak (€23) recommended by our waiter. And Wow! What a steak! It was cooked as ordered, medium rare and just melted in my mouth. We live in London and this steak was far better and cheaper than the famous Gauchos. The accompanying side sauce, chimichurri was a delight. A mixture of garlic, thyme, rosemary, oils and other amazing herbs. I would buy a bottle if they sold it. Dessert, homemade creme caramel, was amazing and though we both couldn't fit in anything more, ate it within a few minutes.
I highly recommend! And though this review might sound over the top and bias, you will understand why if you ever go to this great restaurant in Barcelona.
