“Not so spanish but so good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

The place is an old cellar in a very small street. Welcome was good. Table are spread in the room in sort you can have intimity for romantic dinner. Food are not typical catalan or even spanish but you can find meat as well as fish cook and present in original way. Waiter was good advice for wine selection. The good surprise is also in price for dinner and wine. You can have starter from 8€, main course 15€ and wine from 15€ too. À nice dinner in a cosy place. We are ready to go back if one day we have the opportunity.

“Stumbled across a winner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

We were searching for another restaurant that turned out to be closed for holidays when we stumbled across this winner of a restaurant.
The waiters promptly found us a cosy spot and dropped some juicy olives and local beers on our table.
After a few days in Barcelona, I was glad to have a break from standard tapas and paella fare. I can't fault the three courses we had. The veal with anchovies was salty heaven and the sausage and mushroom ravioli, with red pepper sauce kept us both quiet until the last mouthful.
Great service and special food in a unique, historical venue.

“Had higher expectations, medium turistic atmosphere and medium service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

We had diner for 3. We had higher overall expectations. The food is okay to good (we had sirloin steak and I had Votello Tonato) but the service and atmosphere are mediocre. Maybe it has too popular amongst tourists and therefor the quality and level of service has deteriorated. Sorry, but there are much better restaurants for the same orice in BCN.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

My husband and I stumbled across this wonderful restaurant down a narrow street when walking around. I think we were lucky to get a table, we were made very welcome and the decor inside is really special. We opted for the special menu for 16.50 euro each. We had a small pie/pasty to start with complimentary gaspacho which were both delicious as were the tomato and mozerella salads. We both chose the steak option (the other was chicken) and although it was the cheapest cut on the main menu it was absolutely delicious, you could you a butter knife to cut it. There was also a dessert included but i was too full to eat it!

We would both highly recommend this restaurant.
