We went here recently for dinner on a recommendation. We got there 20 minutes before opening and we were 5th in the queue to get in, by the time the doors opened at 2000 there were over 30 people in the queue and this stayed about the same such that when we had finished our meal there were about the same number of people waiting. It's a popular place to eat!
You go in, point to the fresh seafood in front of you, this is then weighed out and you specify if you want the seafood grilled or deep fried. You are then directed around to the side of the counter where you pay for your order and any sundries like drinks, sauces, bread and salad. At the top of the receipt is an order number that is pointed out to you, the staff speak some English so it is quite easy to follow what to do. The sauces that were recommended to us were the romanesca and aioli which were both very good. You then pick a table, sit down, and listen for your number to be called, this is done in both Spanish and English. As your food is cooked your number is announced and you go and collect your food from the serving hatch. Keep your receipt as each item of food will be checked and then crossed off as you collect it, and don't worry if you have ordered multiple items, they're not all cooked at once which is something we were a little worried about.
The seafood was excellent quality, fresh and delicious and cooked very well however we found it a little 'samey'. ie if you ordered anything grilled it came with a garlic and parsley sauce no matter what it was, such that, for me, the individual taste of the different sorts of seafood was lost. There wasn't a very extensive choice when we were there, having just been the once I suppose it depends on what was fresh on the day? Also some seafood, such as all the prawns/shrimp and the crabs were pre cooked.
One other thing to REALLY note is that this place does not accept cards, it's cash only, and we couldn't see ANY signs to that effect. This meant that after placing our order I had to go to the nearest auto teller to withdraw money which added a bit of stress to the evening.
Overall if you want unfussy dining (ie cafeteria style) with good value and fresh seafood this is a good place to go. In terms of rating I would put it as above average
