At first the place looked good (busy) with a reasonable set lunch menu (15 Eur for three courses) but that menu wasn't around on the table and was hidden on a board around the side of the building (we were sat outside). When I asked about it, the waitress seemed almost annoyed and went to fetch me it, slammed it down on my table and then flounced off.
The muscles that my boyfriend ordered didn't smell very fresh. In fact, at first I thought that the off smell was coming from the grilled cheese but then I realised that the muscles had an aroma that was just too strong, so much so that I had to ask that they be moved away from me.
There were two girls eating seafood paella on the next table (which I too had ordered and was waiting for) and when it came to paying, the girls said that they found the paella to be inedible, tasting solely of salt and had a disgusting unfresh fish taste throughout. It made them feel sick. The waitress argued with them and the girls had to really fight for some sort of discount.
My paella turned out to be the same - I had maybe three mouthfuls and couldn't eat the rest. I was super polite about it when the waitress asked me (I felt sorry for her at the time) but I still got charged the full amount, plus the 3 euro supplement that was on top for that dish. Not content with ignoring the fact I was the 3rd person to deem it inedible, the waitress returned to our table and was quite defensive/aggressive/arrogant about the fact that she, her boss and the chef had tasted the paella and said it was really, really good. I protested that it wasn't fresh. I didn't demand any discount as I assumed that at the very least they might waver the 3 euros but no, they charged us the full 50 instead!
My boyfriend ordered the grilled platter of fish, all of which was over cooked leaving it tough to eat.
with hindsight, I wish I'd refused to pay the full amount and felt completely overcharged for what was meant to be a fresh seafood lunch with a sea view. Total waste of 2 hours (service was slow) and 50 euros. Don't bother!
