“No one does B&B better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

What everyone is saying is true. Bottom line: let Kiku get to know you and then, listen to his advice. But there is something more that Kiku and Jon have created, a kind of ambiance, atmosphere, je ne sais quoi, that made our stay with them among the most memorable ever. Also say hi to gin and tonic genius Viktor and lovely Maria at the Primavera Cafe just down the street and enjoy some wonderful pizza at nearby Ristorante Eden. Shout out also to Europcar at Sants station for their fair prices, quality car, and kind service in a pinch when an unnamed US company failed to explain their hidden fees.

Well what can I say our host was so helpful, kind and his gals working with him are so sweet. The breakfasts are so great. Kiku is a wealth of information, loved the comfortable setting. John was away it would have been great to meet him as well, the decorating here is so interesting. We slept great. I loved that it was close to everything especially Gaudi's cathedral!

Kiku and Jon welcome you into their home and make your stay in Barcelona so much more enjoyable. Breakfast is a treat and you get to catch up with other travelers who swap helpful travel hints. Kiku even tracked down my missing laundry from a previous B&B, and it was delivered the next day! The hospitality and warmth experienced in this B&B makes for an enjoyable stay. Not to mention it's great location. Kiku's suggestions for both Rita's and Morrysons for lunch are well worth a visit.

I stayed 4 night at Barcelona B&B. Did not want to leave. Amazing place in a great neighborhood. I can't wait to go back!!!!!!! Kiku helped me buy ticket at ATM otherwise I would not have seen Sagrada Familia!!! Nor would I have seen the Font Magica (wonderful fountain) show if Kiku hadn't mentioned it to me!!!
Breakfast was a feast.
This is my first experience at a B&B and it will be difficult to better.

We (two couples) stayed three nights in Barcelona BB. Kiku and Jon were friendly and helpful hosts. We felt very safe walking around the area during the evening and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the neighbourhood. Kiku recommended the Hop on/Hop off tour bus and it was a wonderful way to see the entire city. Do what Kiku suggests--get the two-day pass, tour the city the first day and then the second day hop off at your favourite sites. La Muscleria was excellent...we returned a second time to enjoy dinner at the outside tables. The B&B is full of interesting paintings and art objects that have been lovingly collected. These are two bright and interesting hosts and we look forward to returning for a longer visit in their beautiful city.

Room Tip: Each room has its own charm. As other travels have reported, you spend very little time in the rooms...

I stayed six nights in July. They're a couple of very nice guys who do know how to look after people. Kiku is clever. He managed to save me a bunch of bother by connecting my computer to his printer to print my ticket to Segrada Familia, which, by the way, is probably the most inspiring human built environment I've ever entered in my life.Book the ticket with Audio. Breakfast chez JandK was always good ( once I'd had coffee and could talk properly) for chatting with the other residents. And while I was there they had the hot water fixed, so hot showers anytime !

John and Kiku run a stunningly furnished B and B in what is probably the best district of Barcelona. Close to the city but removed from the crowds, their B and B is a a feast for the eye. Amazing collection of furnishings and prints / paintings. Very good cafe one block away (Primavera) and relaxed hosts make for a chilled and mellow stay.

Kiku is a mint of information about Barcelona - just ask! I enjoyed my rest here - was in the blue room; although small it does have the benefit of no traffic as it is not road facing. If you want a relaxed and distinctive place to stay then you could do worse. It is not a hotel - no boring standard concrete rooms and plastic smiles here! Encompasses the 'spirit' of Barcelona.

Andrew.

Room Tip: Blue room is quietest but also the smallest / least natural light
