We were four friends, and had the place recommended by a friend as a special place with special atmosphere. And yes, atmosphere was quite something, walking through the kitchen to get to the restaurant part. We were a little early, so not many guests had arrived, was that a good or bad sign we thought? But we were seated in the kitchen part where the two ladies could see the action in the kitchen. We went for snails as a starter, and a sole for main course, ending up with a creme Catalan. The snails were supposed to be the signature dish, and they came a in a heavy gravy, unfortunately too salt to my liking, and the need for beer was imminent. The fish was perfectly grilled, and was indeed a highlight together with the desert. But what made the evening not 100% was the snails and the smell from the kitchen as guests were pouring in, and the activity amongst the chefs were building up. The fans couldn't take all the smoke, and when leaving, our cloting was smelling of food making. Prices were also stiff when comparing with Cal Pep we visited the day after, read the separate review. The show watching the kitchen was great, but if you don't want to smell like the chefs themselves, make sure you are seated in the other rooms, they were plentiful.
