We booked this hotel for joining a conference and were very much looking forward to go there because of the nice internet site. However, it turned out to be a disaster. We were told to get a reduced rate by mentioning the reference of the conference at time of booking. And so we did, but when we arrived we were denied this reduced rate because according to the staff we did not make the booking the right way, although we did exactly what the conference organisation told us to do. Moreover, we got the most expensive room in the entire hotel. The staff was very unwilling to listen, they took money from the credit card without asking our permission, and we were forced to pay per night instead of paying at the end of our stay. I would definitely not recommend this hotel for conferences. I would also advise to make absolutely sure beforehand what will be the price, and collect all email communication with the hotel, since I heard many other people complaining about having to pay more than they agreed on beforehand.

Barcelona is an amazing City! Be aware of pickpockets and read safety tips before you go. We had no problems at all when we visited. If your only there for a few days like us, take the tourist bus its well worth the money. Don't be afraid to go off the main streets and look for tapas, much cheaper and delicious. The hotel is amazing, beautifully decorated the rooms are a little small. The staff are very helpful will certainly go back there to stay.

what a great location, close to the subway, the port, las ramblas, boqueria, placa real, great service, friendly staff, lots of free water and strong coffee, loved the shower ( its a huge shower head coming out of the ceiling, especially after a long day of walking and sightseeing), free internet, lots of great bars around the hotel with a great patiserrie next door with the best chocolate croisants, yummy get them early. So if you ever in this area, for a four star it was very good,,, okay except the paper thin walls, but it should almost be expected in europe, oh and great area in the back to relax also.

I booked this hotel because of the good reviews it had got from others and the great rate we got through Yeego.com - glad I did now. The rooms are spotless and everything appears to be brand new. One of the comfiest beds I've slept in also. Even though we were facing the street it was relatively quiet in the room and the blackout curtains were a blessing for a late sleeper like myself. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful - more than happy to spend time answering anything you asked. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so can't comment on that but you're only 2 minutes walk from the Ramblas and all it's cafes anyway. There have been many comments about the street it's situated on and I have to admit that it can seem a bit seedy late at night but I really don't think it's bad enough to be worth making an issue of. Like the rest of Barcelona and many other big tourist cities, just take the usual common sense precautions. If you are approached, don't engage them and keep walking with one hand on your wallet.
