“Greatly situated hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

The hotel is a few minutes away from Plaza Espanya, Las Arenas (the brick establishment in front of the Plaza which is a mall) & the magic fountain of Montjuic. There`s also a convenience store nearby, just turn left from the main entrance.

Aside from the space, there`s nothing special about the room. I think they could put some splash of color in the bed sheets to make it more appealing. We stayed in rm 224 & looking at the window you can see the windows of room on the other side of the hotel and the restaurant in the first floor.

The only problem that me and my husband encountered is the low water pressure in the shower.

Helpful Staff. Decent restaurant. Simple but clean hotel

I was put up in this hotel for a conference and was a bit disappointed in it, given all the high reviews. I imagine that the hotel is quite inexpensive, but at any price there are some amenities I would have expected. The bed was uncomfortable, the window looked out on a courtyard and there were only two options for shades -- sheer shades that you can totally see through, or completely opaque shades -- so we lived in the dark most of the time! Nothing in the mini bar. Not enough space in the bathroom to put toiletries for two people. Good location and

Dear Diana,

Thank you for your opinion, this is very important for us.
We're sorry to saw that you didn't like the interior rooms on our hotel. This are facing a courtyard that have natural light and as you say there is an opaque shades to have some privacy on the rooms.
The next time you can ask for a exterior room facing to the street with views to the city, you will liked.
On the minibar we have 4 bottles of water as a welcome gift, but if you want something else you can order on the bar.

Regards,

Carlos Burgos.

Stayed 2 nights.
Great location to explore Barcelona. Right by the Magic Fontain and the Plaza de Espana. Shopping Malls and public transport. Quiet room.
Parking Garage 2,1m high (17€/night) so we could park our van safely.
If Barcelona, we would go there again. Breakast Buffet 12€ or Express Breakfast for 4€.
Room was a good value for the money we paid.

Doesn't look much from the outside but it is modern inside with everything that business travellers needs.

The reception were very welcoming and offered me a map of the city and told me where the bus, metro and taxi's could be found.

There is a small coffee shop just behind reception with a decent sized restaurant. I didn't eat dinner there, but the breakfast was more than adequate with a good range of fruit, meats, bread, pastries and hot food on offer.

The bedroom was very good - wooden floors, mirrors - very modern. The bathroom was large and the whole suite was spotless.

Free wifi - that works!!!!

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Stayed for 4 nights for some business meetings, and a weekend to explore. 10th time in Barcelona, so already know my way around pretty well. Plaze Espanya is a central hub for getting around - nice to be near the Fira, fountains, Montuic for a nice walk/climb. and great to have the airport bus stop there. A little far for some from Ramblas, but good for me, as it gets a bit too busy there and walking is great, and subway and buses are easy..

The hotel is nice and clean enough. And staff is very friendly.

But I wouldn't stay again as I found it too dark and noisy. I asked for a quiet room, and got a room on the inner courtyard. I do not recommend this. The rooms are so close to each other, you can see and hear what is going on in them. You can put down the dark blind, and with that and just in general because it is enclosed - it is definitely a mole experience. I really have a hard time getting up if it is dark in my room. I was told this would be quieter than a street room, but it was noisy too - with some fan from 'outside' and funny fan noises in the washroom. Bathrooms really dark too - i don't think most washroom are designed thinking about women who put makeup on.

I didn't eat at the hotel - I found the prices more expensive that on the street, and much less imaginative. There are lots of basic choices at the Arenas across the street, including a big grocery store. And just walk a few blocks and there are great places to sit and have some tapas on the street patios.

Except during MWC - there are tons of decent choices in Barcelona. I will pick a different one next time.

Room Tip: don't take an inner courtyard one

Is great to know that you have a good opinion about our staff and our location,
Moreover our interior rooms are facing a courtyard with daylight, but not as bright as the exterior rooms, the rooms are one in front of the other because the courtyard but as you say there are a dark blind to have some privacy on the rooms.
We apologize about your experience on the room, we will share your opinion with our team to improve our services,
