“2nd stay here, would come back!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

This is a fantastic hotel!!
I stayed here last year, stayed here again last week and would definitely stay here again in future.
The hotel is in the universitat area of Barcelona. This is 5 minutes walk from Las Ramblas, 10 minutes walk from the area/olympic area and about 20 mintue walk to Sagrada Familia.
All this and two metro stations, both about a 2 minute walk away.
The aerobus drops off right outside the university, again, less than 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
So, the location is perfect!!
The hotel itself is very modern looking, great bar/reception area, looks really great. The rooms look good too, contemporary. We stayed in a basic room, double bed, tv, two seats. The bathroom is lovely although the shower seems to leak everywhere!
The only let down of this hotel is the finishing touches. In our room there was paint touch ups that were a different colour and various screw hole in the wall. This wasn't a problem at all but i just thought it let down an absolutely perfect hotel.
On the top floor is a sun terrace with a small pool and bar. This gives great views of the area. The pool and bar is closed in winter months.
The price for our stay was SO cheap and was the main reason we came back!

I cant recommend this hotel enough.

Room Tip: Other reviews have complained about noise. It is a busy road and if you are a light sleeper, reques...

I am regular visiter too Barcelona and quite like the area the hotel is situated, i like to stay away from the Ramblas for obivous reasons and is only a 10 minute walk if there too plaza catalunya.

The bus from the airport pretty much stops at the Univerisdad square which the hotel is only a few minute walk.

I think i paid around 75 euros a night at the beginning of december, and compared to the competetion its easily a 4* hotel.

Kindly service and good services. Wifi free but even if it's good at lobby it's hard to connect in some rooms. Live DJ at night. Didn't try the breakfast. Very good location close to metro and bus stations. Plaza de Catalunya is 5' walk. I would choose it again.

Clean and quiet with good style and reliable Internet. Modest gym for cardio and machine exercise, with a nice upstairs outdoor terrace which unfortunately closes at 6 PM. Nice bathtubs with plenty of hot water and a very nice rainfall shower. Sheets are clean but not luxurious. Good coffee from the lobby café and many restaurants nearby including two organic or natural food restaurants.

First impression was super; the receptionist Lise spoke fluently Dutch, English, French & Spanish. Our initial reserved room smelled smokey but Lisa changed it to a larger smoke free room. Our new room was on the courtyard and thus nice and quiet. She was also very helpful with information about restaurants and were to go in the area. The hotel breakfast was awesome with plenty variety. This hotel was located a little outside the city center but everything was in walking distance. We would certainly recommend and go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a smoke free and courtyard side room.
