A friend and I just stayed at this property during our first trip to Barcelona. We found the hotel to be very pleasant and in a great location. The room was clean and decorated in modern decor and the bathroom was roomy, much larger than what i would expect to find in Europe. the hotel is located on the main strip of the Gran Via and it was few blocks away from the metro located near the University. I liked this location because we could easily commute to the really busy areas such as Las Ramblas but still enjoy some piece and quiet when returned at night to sleep. The staff was friendly was helpful in giving suggestions for nearby attractions. There are cafes located within a block of the hotel so there is no problem finding food. Since Gran Via gets a good amount of traffice hailing taxis was convienent too. The hotel had other ammenties such as a nice lobby bar and a spa but I did not use those but the bar looked very inviting. The only drawback on this hotel was that is does not have a pool and the walls are a little thin in the rooms but not enough where I was not able to sleep. All in all I would stay here again or any H10 property for that matter.

We stayed only 2 nights after our cruise. Arrived to the hotel at 10am, but room was not ready till 2pm.We were able to leave our suitcases and went to explore the city. The front desk was OK(not like in US) , no smile.....First they offered a smoking room on the 2nd floor , after telling the guy that we specifically send an email 2 weeks in advance w/request a non-smoking room and a higher floor we were given completely apposite . ,telling us that nothing else is available. . After all in 5 mints. (not being happy), the guy found a non-smoking room on the 6th floor.Go figure!???Room was good, for Europe pretty big, nice size bathroom,good shower pressure.Nice touch /small balcony with a view of the city.Can be very noisy with open doors, but once you shout them , it gets quite(good insolation) .TV is very small size(but anyway only 1 english channel/CNN)The location was really good, bus stop is right on the corner, on the left side going towards the center on the way is Staurbucks coffee shop on the corner 5 mints. walk, from there across the street train station.Walking another 5 -7 mints. is Plaza Catalunya (tour bus stop), Airbus to the airport,all the shops, mall....La Ramblas starts from there too.The hotel is like in between Plaza Espania(15-20mints. walk)and Garsia Street (15mints. walk)Ave. Diagonal.
