“Not bad”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014 via mobile

I've stayed here multiple times. It's utilitarian. Rooms are clean, location is good for me, but it's not central. Staff are straight forward. If you get a room for 65 euros, it's worth it. Pricing depends on the season.

We have stayed in room 204 for 3 nights at the beginning of June. The room and bathroom were very clean, A/C working. You can get Wi-Fi if you want by paying at the reception a reasonable price. Breakfast was good and the stuff polite and helpful. The lady we met when we checked-in answered at all the questions about our city tour, thank you :) The location is very close to Guell Park and not far from Catalunya Square. And yes.. maybe a little noisy but hey, you are in Barcelona :)

The room was noisy (noises from the street, the corridor and from the connected rooms).
The breakfast was very simple.
The good points: cleanness and easy access to the city center(3 stops far from Catalonia Square).
Not recommendable!

This hotel is just a place to avoid: staff is unfriendly and discourteous (I was shocked about the way the lady was talking to me, really). Price rates were outrageously high for the MWC. The place is so noisy that I could not simply sleep the 2 nights I spent there, They assigned us a room (S01) which has 2 floors (promising indeed) but in reality the lower floor of the room is just a door behind the place where taxi parks (literally when you open the door you are just standing by the cars ...). I could not open the door to my bathroom as the lock system was totally broken. Finally Food was horrible.

At first glance the Ronda Lesseps looks like a small office building from the outside but once you get to the entrance and you walk past the the big sliding glass doors then you notice the service man greeting you and that's when you start feeling like your in a hotel. For the most part there are only 4 floors in the hotel so it's not a big hotel. Hotel Ronda does have a restaurant and bar area but they close that area down at 2:30 P.M.The room that I stayed in was on the 4th floor and the room as very spacious. The mattress was very comfortable and adequate for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was very spacious as well because of the over-sized sink that looked like you could fit a whale in it not to mention the big bath tube and the deep blue tile decor that the bathroom had. On the negative side the room did not have a mini fridge or any complimentary drinks or even bottles of water but it did have plenty of tv channels to choose from. The hotel does offer Continental breakfast service which means all you can drink coffee and all you can eat bread with butter plus some all you can drink watered down orange juice but I guess that's better then walking around Lesseps looking for a breakfast place early in the morning. I liked how when you walk out of the room the little hallway lights turn on like little flickering stars in the night. Hotel Ronda Lesseps seemed more like a couples getaway spot more than a family oriented hotel. By the way you will get charged 0.72 Euro cents per day and per person which I was told was a "tourist accommodation fee" whatever that means but overall the hotel is very clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: Rooms number #413 and #414 have their own little private entrances which make it seem more private a...

I stayed at the hotel as a solo traveller for three days and had a quite pleasant time. Let me start with the not so good points. Breakfast is passable , you get half a baguette with a choice of cheese, ham, and two kinds of pastries along with orange juice and machine made coffee. My room faced the street and I could hear vehicle noises ( which usually died down by 11 in the night ) . The bed was not luxurious , but clean and tidy.
The good points: It is only 4 stops away from catalunya ( the major center of barcelona ). There are two small supermarkets next to the hotel where you can get cereals , bowls etc . Park guell is quite close , but there is a long walk up the mountain. You can start your tour of barcelona quite early in the morning for some amazing views from the park top when tourists are less. The bathroom is clean and there are some black spots as shown in other reviewers photos , but that is something I wouldn't worry about. bathroom is cleaned and you get fresh linen everyday. The water is really hot and comes with a good force. The topping is you get a jacuzzi which is so relaxing at the end of the day. You tend to walk a lot in spain and relaxing in the jacuzzzi is a perfect way to soothe ones tired legs. I am not sure what other hotels offer but I am definitely sticking to this hotel and will stay here again. I would have given 5 stars but for the breakfast , a variety of cereals and normal bread would have made the difference.

We unfortunately stayed there a couple of days during our Barcelona visit.
Most of the rooms have windows to a very noisy street. You will wake up around 5 or 6 for sure, when the rush hour starts.
The continental breakfast is a joke. It is clearly defined that it consists of a bread, a croissant, butter, marmalade, awful juice and coffee. IF you want a tea, they want you to pay extra.
The rooms are not equipped with mini-bar/fridge, what should be standard in a 3-star hotel.
Furthermore the staff is really unfriendly when it comes to complains. The reception called the management by phone and even insisting that we want to speak to the manager ourselves, it was told us, that the manager doesn't want to talk to us.

Normally I am not putting references here, but in this case, a strong recommendation to look for a nicer place to stay in Barcelona.
