“Perfect hotel in Barcelona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2012

This hotel lived up to all expectations and is obviously #1 for a reason. We were personally greeted on arrival and given a tour of the facilities and shown to our room. The room was lovely and spacious with plenty of space for putting stuff away. The only slight criticism would be that the lighting in the rooms is quite 'subtle' and trying to find things in my luggage bag was sometimes a challenge!

The staff in this hotel are absolutely the best that I've encountered anywhere. Nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience in Barcelona. By the time we left it felt like we were leaving home!

The open snack bar was also very welcome and the selection and quality of the snacks was great.

Location of Casa Camper is absolutely perfect, just off La Rambla and within walking distance to pretty much everything. However, having the bedrooms at the back of the building means that you don't hear any of the hustle and bustle from the streets around.

Overall, an amazing stay and would highly recommend.

Casa Camper exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped in the hotel, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive; they went above and beyond to help and serve us during our stay (namely, Georgina, Wim, and Alessandro) from offering suggestions on restaraunts, helping us with our football game plans, to printing our boarding passes for us.

Rooms at Casa Camper are well thought out and practical (hooks all across the room, robes and slippers, large and plush towels, huge shower with 3 shower head options- handheld, overhead shower, & bidet-, large bottles of quality shampoo, conditioner, and soap.) The beds are very comfortable and when they advertise king beds, they are actually king beds!-- not 2 twins pushed together. My one tiny complaint would be that the bathroom counter be a bit wider; its only about 12 inches. Sounds silly to comment on that since our stay there was so positive, but my toiletries kept falling off so that did bug me!

The mini-lounge across the hall was a nice touch and great for extra space, especially if anyone wakes up earlier than the others and doesn't want to wake them. Our teenage sons (who had their own room) thought the hammock in their mini-lounge was very cool.

The 24-7 drinks and snacks were definitely a plus. Breakfast was comprehensive: made to order eggs or omelets or pancakes or french toast; pastries; croissants; dry cereals; fruit, yogurt; cheeses; meats; and the wonderful freshly squeezed orange juice.

A great place to stay. Would definitely recommend it and would stay here again, no doubt about it.

A unique arrangement that worked perfectly for us! The room is split up into a public
space overlooking the street, and a private one that looks onto a green wall. Breakfast service is very good, but what we really appreciated was the open kitchen where drinks, and snacks were available around the clock, on the house.
There is a very nice roof deck where we enjoyed gorgeous weather, and even nicer wine most evenings.
Perfectly located, with the most wonderful staff you could imagine.

I'm already planning a trip to Berlin so we can experience Casa Camper again.

Location, service, vibe --all amazing. The Camper folks have thought of everything and continue to take care of all the details from the moment you make a reservation through the follow up note after you leave. Rooms are unique, cool and comfortable (loved the siestas in my hammock). Food (free 24/7) was fresh and fantastic and made everything so convenien (not to mention saving us money). Staff couldn't have been better. Don't even think of staying anywhere else in Barcelona.

All customer service systems are in placed in this wonderful hotel. A week before we arrived they wrote an email saying how they were looking forward to our visit. We stayed for 5 nights and loved it every moment. Particularly liked all the little touches inside the room to make life easier for travellers. Shaker styled pegs are positioned on one wall which are very handy for hand laundry. Generous bottles of liquid soap, shampoo and body lotion are found in the bathroom and they have the best pillows for a good nights sleep. The only negative I can say would be the smell of mould coming from the shower recess whenever you showered. The extra living room across the hall is a brilliant idea. The employees in this hotel are friendly and eager to assist at any time. They are not at all arrogant like the staff often found in hotels around Italy. Not long after we checked out, we received another email thanking us for staying with them. Great customer service! I would go back to Casa Camper in a heartbeat!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights last month.Very difficult to say anything new that has not been said by other guests. The hotel has a perfect location, provides a wonderful breakfast, and tremendous all day snacks. Most importantly all of the staff are exceptionally nice and very helpful. The rooms are also great (although in my view the"extra" lounge on the other side of the hall for each room is a waste unless you need it for a third person). I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Let me begin by saying there is NOTHING I would change about this hotel! Every detail has been considered and it is a wonderful experience just to stay here. I believe this made Barcelona for us!

The location is magic, just off the Ramblas. Close enough to all attractions, restaurants and shopping, but quiet enough and "tucked away" enough to be private and very safe.

The staff are one of the best things about Casa Camper and Wim and Georgina ("the tall and the small") were wonderful! Welcoming, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. They even managed to get us tickets to a Barcelona FC home game (which by the way, is a must do).

The rooms are spacious and very well appointed, cool and chic with everything you could ever need. We were traveling as a family and our 25 year old daughter was able to have her own space in the "sitting room", which was a bonus. If traveling as a couple the rooms would be large and with a TV in both the sleeping and sitting room you can do your own thing while not disturbing your partner. The layout of the rooms (with multiple hooks for hanging and shelves) allows the space to remain tidy which is always nice to come back to. The red walls give energy too and add to the "excitement".

The 24 hour snacks were great also, so nice to be able to get a juice or salad at any hour and also an easy way to wind down after a full day of sight seeing.

The whole vibe of the hotel is cool but also friendly and I loved staying here. I would definitely come to Barcelona again and Casa Camper would be my only choice! Superb!

Room Tip: All rooms are great!
