“SIMPLY THE BEST!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

I had read all the reviews on Trip Advisor and Casa Camper seemed the right place to stay in Barcelona - yes, they were all correct - it is the most wonderful place to stay. We were driving from Collioure in France and our GPS took us straight to the building. Nadim helped my husband park our car - nothing was too much trouble. We unloaded our bags and Georgina was extremely helpful - vibrant, young and enthusiastic. She showed us what Casa Camper had to offer - 24 hour buffet food and drink - free - great value especially when you have been out sight seeing. In fact all the staff at Casa Camper are friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them to show you or help you in any way possible.

We stayed four nights in September 2012. Close to the Ramblas and in fact close to everything you want to see or do in Barcelona. The Hop on Hop Off Bus depot is a short walk away - great value if you want to see the highlights of Barcelona and stop off at various points.

We stayed in the Camper Suite - modern, roomy and the decor was fantastic. The room was clean and all the amenities were great. We loved the directions of how turn the hot/cold water on and off - very good in a hotel where different languages are spoken. The bed was so comfortable, beautiful sheets - we would stay again in this room - worth the money!

They have free internet access to a computer and also a printer which is great to check emails. Probably some will have an ipad/iphone but if you can't be bothered taking them with you, the internet is free.

One night we sat in the lounge and ordered drinks and then had the snacks - very relaxing and great atmosphere in the dining area. We also loved the planted garden outside our bathroom - great concept.

We would stay at Casa Camper without hesitation and if we go to Berlin we will stay there as well. My husband purchased a pair of Camper shoes and loves them! Thanks Casa Camper for making our stay in Barcelona a memorable one.

We loved Barcelona and the Gaudi houses and the Sagrada Familia! wow that was amazing - great city to visit.

Room Tip: The Camper Suite is special and worth the money!

The staff here is the best! They were extremely helpful when my wife and I got a stomach virus just before our arrival. They arranged for a doctor to call on us in the room, aided us in contacting the airlines and offered a discount if we needed to stay an extra day. The staff simply is the best!

Great building, great location, just a couple of minutes off Las Ramblas. Loved the neighbourhood, really full of charm with plenty of small good restaurants and family-owned shops nearby. Rooms are modern and and spotless. Staff is genuinely friendly and knowledgeable. Unbeatable hotel to spend a great weekend in Barcelona

A great hotel in the centre of Barcelona, great room, really helpful staff and loved the free 24 hr buffet. The taxi from the airport dropped us off at the end of the street as he did not realise you could drive down the narrow street, which only taxis are allowed, so had to walk about 100 m with our luggage. Would go back again.

Visited for 3 nights with teenage son - he slept on the sofa bed in our suite lounge. Very noisy on the 1st floor so we were quickly moved to 5th floor - note both suites had noisy springs every time he turned over on the sofa bed...and yes, we did try the hammock instead! Everything else just brilliant - and you do feel personally welcome. Tip regarding eating close to hotel - yes Bar Lobo is good, but so is the unmarked pizzeria which Mimi from Reception directed us to in Raval. It's only 3 blocks away from La Rambla just past the MCAB (modern art gallery). We were able to watch the Celtic v FCBarcelona match outside on their terrace with a big screen projection on the wall. Really felt like we were properly on holiday!

Room Tip: Go for the higher floors - we'd pay for another room next time for our son so that he could slee...

Great hotel! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Location is great - right off Las Ramblas, but quiet, and it's a good home base from which to explore the city on foot. It's also close to the metro line. 24 hour snack service is a nice touch. Breakfasts are very good. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

We rely heavily on Trip Advisor for hotel and restaurant advice when traveling, and the reviews for Casa Camper were spot on. We won't repeat the great descriptions of the hotel already available here. We will tell you we stayed for 6 nights the first week in October and the place was spotless, the staff were exceptional (Thank you Mimi for all you enthusiasm and advice) and the hotel was very quiet. In fact my only concern/curiosity before arriving was the description of two rooms separated by the public hall. I can say in 6 days there--In all our comings and goings to our room and in our travels back and forth between our afternoon naps in the "mini lounge" and back to the main room--I only saw someone in the hall once (there are only 5 rooms per floor). It's a brilliant set up--separating the back of the building with the sleeping rooms from the louder street/school yard out front with the Mini lounge. Our room (43) was quiet, the bed was extremely comfortable and the whole place was unique.
Big Thanks to Mimi, Max, and Alesandro & Wim for the lovely welcoming of Cava for our anniversary. And Kudos to the Breakfast staff, offering us a cheerful and delicious start every day.

Room Tip: The higher floors (4,5) have nice views of the neighborhood
