“Very disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013 via mobile

On first impressions the apartments are fantastic. Very spacious, clean & bright. When you're trying to sleep the problem arises. The noise from the other apartments/people in the halls is unbearable. We were in a first floor apartment and were continuously woken several times each night with the noise from the apartment above or from our own bed. We could hear conversations, people walking across the floors and moving chairs and the bed creaked anytime you moved. The window in our double bedroom didn't close properly, it didn't lock so anyone could have slid it open, also the security blind was broke so we couldn't even pull that down to make up for it. The wifi is ridiculous, constantly dropping signal and while my partners laptop could pick up the signal in the living room, my iPhone could only detect it in the bedroom and the signal was so weak it kept dropping. Pretty ridiculous when you're expected to pay over €4 a day for this service. The location is not ideal for walking but has a main bus station and a metro stop very close by which was very handy. Overall, as nice as the apartment is I would not stay again nor would I recommend it to anyone. It also took us about 30 minutes to check in and receive a room key?!

Booked a one bedroom apartment. Our was situated in the back and was clean and very quiet. Air conditioning, a useful kitchen and a comfortable bed were great. Staff were both friendly and helpful. The block was very conveniently situated for the metro, two supermarkets and places to eat. The location gave us easy access to central Barcelona or up towards the northern part of the city, The area felt very safe later at night. It was our first stay in an apartment rather than a hotel and we are converts.

Was recommended to Aparthotel Napols by a friend who'd stayed there previously.

The location was easy to find off the Metro, only about half a km from the Tetuan stop. The room was very nice looking with a living room that sat 3, a kitchen with a full fridge and freezer, a dishwasher, sink, and enough dishes and flatware for 2. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was a bathroom.

There is a grocery store right down the street if you want to stock the kitchen. There are also a couple of very good places to eat within a third of a km.

I booked the room through their website and the price was well within my budget for the trip. Per night for a long weekend was ?85.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. All the desk clerks spoke excellent English and were sble to point us to places to visit and eat.

The only problem I had with the hotel was their wi-fi. I can live with unreliable wi-fi if it's provided in the cost of yhe room. I don't mind paying for wi-fi access when it is a quality signal and decent speed. When paying ?4 a day I expect to get a decent signal which doesn't drop constantly, when it is even detectable.

We had a two bedroom apartment. Spacious, nice bathroom and kitchen.
Service is great, they even speak a little English.
I think it has very good price-quality ratio.
Beds are a bit hard, and it was a little cold in March at night, so we had to keep on the heating in the house at night.
Only downside was the old electric cooking furnace, it didn't heat very well and had no good instructions on how to operate it.
We ate out most days so no big deal there for us.
Cleaning service was good, they even switched on the dishwasher for us.
Supermarkets and a bakery are just a few metres away. Metro stations in different direction are close by.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a balcony.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

My family and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment here and were very happy with it. The apartment was clean and spacious with an area for a 4 person dining table and then the living area has sofa seating for four in front of a flat screen TV. Everything was clean and relatively modern and looks better than in the photos. There is wireless internet you can pay for as well which was not too expensive, around 4 euros. The area was relatively quiet and there were two local supermarkets on the same street as well as several convenience stores which sell miscellaneous household items etc (like a pound store). The location is not bad as it is only 5 minutes from the metro station of Arc de Triomf to the south and Tetuan is even closer. You're also relatively close to all the shopping on the Passig de Gracia (maybe 15 minutes). Another plus is that there was always someone at reception during the day to help and if you arrived late they would give you a code and you could check in on your own using a key machine they had in the lobby. For people with lots of luggage, there are elevators and I also saw people using the computer they had available for guests by reception.

The only minus is that there are not a lot of restaurants or bars which look appetising close to the hotel.

Room Tip: We asked for a high floor and could not hear any noise inside the apartment. The two bedroom apartme...

Ideal location for those who do nt wanting to stay in central Barcelona but prefer a quiet neighborhood just 3 minutes from the metro station-Arc de Triomphe-the aparthotel Napols is a very good aparhotel.Big and renovated apartments with daily cleaning, ideal for families. Two large supermarket just a few meters away and opposite the hotel with very good prices. The only downside that its not with free internet. Costs 4, 5 euros per day but thats not a big problem
Definitely i will stay again at this hotel.

Travelled with my husband and 2 children to Barcelona in October. We had a 2 bedroom apartment which was clean and spacious. The bathroom and kitchen could do with some money spent on them as they are starting to look a bit old and tired (plate racks in the dishwasher are very rusty) but they were clean and adequate. Lots of plates, glasses etc. although we couldn't get the 2 ring hob of the cooker to work. Maid came around every morning to clean and make beds. Front desk staff said hello every day but we didn't have any other interaction with them. We found the location good, close to the Arc de Triomf metro station, but we walked to most places, like the Parc de Ciutadella, the beach and the Ramblas. Lots of little supermarkets nearby which stayed open late, a big Mercadona supermarket next door and a nice bakery across the street. Our stay here was fine, maybe a bit expensive for what it was, but we found Barcelona an expensive city anyway.
