“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Stayed there during a recent family trip to Barcelona, and the hotel was really wonderful.

Room
Room are very well furnished, super clean and a very spacious bathroom. All the amenities and requirements are there for you when you check in.

Pool
There is a very nice Pool and Spa area located on one of the upper floors with a nice view of the area.

Location
The Hotel is 1 min away from one of the big malls, which contains several shops, restaurants and cinemas.

They Offer great internet in the lobby for free.

I would strongly recommend this hotel

I've stayed here 3 times now for work and it has been consistently a very good experience. The hotel is modern, rooms are very comfortable and the location is excellent; easy access into the city, directly outside there is a stop for the tourist bus and across the road a large mall with Spanish brands, a big supermarket and restaurants. The hotel rooms are extremely clean, staff courteous, very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is delicious (including a Nespresso machine) and a great selection, constantly replenished. The only negatives I've experienced with this hotel are the absence of in-room hot beverage facilities (although this seems to be an AC hotel standard) and lack of English language entertainment TV channels. Otherwise, it is a very nice hotel!

This was a beautiful hotel. It was very modern, very clean, and the staff was very nice. Our room had a city/ mountain view which was beautiful. We travelled with other family who had oceans views which were just as nice. It was very easy to get to public transportation, and the concierge was great with helping us with recommendations of restaurants and other sites.

Hotel is attached to the congress center where many events in Barcelona are taking place. This location is hard to beat if you are in Barcelona for sometime of convention. The room I had was on the top floor. It was looking toward the city, but as I understand there are also ocean view rooms that should have a great view. anyone can get a feeling from the great spa and pool area on the 13th floor. Breakfast is just OK, no omlet station and choices are somehow limited. the same place used for dining. Service was Ok and dinner was good also with reasonable prices, but it was deserted on Wednesday night. To get to the city you need a cab (about 15 Euros) or a subway station 5 minutes walking from the hotel. There are plenty of taxis in Barcelona which makes moving around easy. Hotel is in front of the beach (5 min), so in summer time you have an additional leisure options here.

The only reason to stay in this hotel is if you attend a conference next door. Rooms are clean, modern and functional but very dark at the window is extremely small. nice bathroom, modern, fairly large. This is a residential part of town, fairly new, with nothing around except a shopping mall with food court. 20 mn cab ride, 15 euros to go to the center.
Wifi (12 euros per day) works very badly....slow connection, have to reconnect very often. No coffee/ tea in the room, nor in the lobby, and breakfast does not start until 7 am...
The gym has a great view over the sea, but the machines are totally outdated and very few of them (no elliptical, 2 small treadmills) despite plenty of space....there are actually more sofas in the gym than exercise machines. And it does not open until 7 am!

I have just returned from a 2 day stay at the AC Hotel with 3 friends. We all totally enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be extremelly helpful and courteous. We were both checked in and checked out by a receptionist Pilar who was both professional and extremelly courteous, and is a credit to the hotel.
The hotel is well maintained and clean. We staryed on the 10th floor and had both rooms were well maintained and clean. We especially liked the wooden floors which eliminates the dirt from carpets.
We ate breakfast on both mornings and had lunch on one day, and found the food to be of a high quality as are the restaurant staff. Breakfast is very reasonably priced.
There is a fitness room on the 13th floor with heated pools as well as an outside pool. We would highly recommend bringing your swimsuit to avail of this.
The hotel is situated outside Barcelona city , but only E12 in a taxi so it is not too far. There are taxis readly available outside the hotel at all times and is approx E35 from the airport.
There is a large (very) shopping center opposite the hotel that seems to cater for all needs and well worth a visit.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and would gladly return.
Wishing them continued success.

Room Tip: We were in 1031 and 1033 which were ocean view rooms and very quiet also.

We stayed there for 10 days, really lovely place , good room with spacious bathroom and absolutely free mini bar!!! Love it so much!! More over mini bar was refreshed every day!))at first sight location seem to be not good as you can find for that money but then we realize that location is really good - 10 minutes by walk to the beach which is not owercrowded. Two things I don't like at all - payed wifi in rooms and expensive breakfast!
