We found the H10 Universitat to be a clean pleasant hotel in a fantastic location. The Rambles and Placa Catalunya, along with the Bus Turistic (a must to appreciate all the sites of Barcelona) are all less than 5 mins away. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and allowed us to store our luggage on the final day, whilst we were out. Our room was on the sixth floor and was really small, but it was perfect for a couple who only used it to wash and sleep. The bathroom was large in comparison to the room and had a fabulous power shower. A point here is that the bedroom and bathroom are separated by a frosted glass wall so all the sounds of the bathroom can be heard in the bedroom. You need to be comfortable with your partner!!!
We only had breakfast once and although there was a great deal of choice it was very expensive (37 Euros for 2 people). I would recommend going out for breakfast, there are plenty of cafes around.
Overall the hotel was excellent, pleasant staff, clean and welcoming lobby/bar area and I can't help but mention the fabulous location again.

the hotel has a deal with a car parking near by.
Location is near th the main attractions of barcelona.
Catalunya circle,universitat circle,Gaudy's houses and more.
we asked for 2 rooms with a connecting door on a high floor and front to the street. we have got as we asked. modern decorating big rooms,excellent beds, fully equipped bathrooms.
Barcelona is a great place to visit and H10 hotel universitat is a great place to stay!

A group of 8 friends arrived to H10 Universitat on 3rd August and stayed there for 4 nights.
We booked 4 double rooms via the internet with just 2 e-mails where i've asked for big rooms to upper floors.
Rooms were given to us at 14:00 after a welcome glass of "cava". All of them where big but located to floors 2,3 and 5 two of them with a front view. They kindly apologized for that but it was not a problem except from the fact that you could hear the train coming under the bulding.(Not a big problem, you easily get used to).
The rooms were very clean, the room service very good and everyone with a smile to face ready to serve you.
I was waited for a king's breakfast regarding some of the comments but it was just a full average buisness hotel breakfast that covers most of the usual needs.

But the graet weapon of Universitat is location. Close to everything, nearby two main undergroun stops (Catalunya, Universitat), right to the heart of the city day and night.

In general H10 Universitat is a great 4**** hotel, buisness to size but luxry regarding location and "value for money".

My wife and I stayed in the H10 Universitat for 5 days during the end of july 2007. After much exploring ,this hotel appeared to have the least adverse remarks. Comments were made about various rooms and sizes. I booked through Hotelopia , I asked for a large outside room with bath and shower on floor 4 or above and received a very good deal. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of Cavas and a delightful attitude.Apologies were made that the floor requested was not available but we were allocated an excellent large room with bath and shower on floor 2. The general standard of the hotel is first class, the bedroom was of the highest standard (comments regarding the glass doors to bathroom and lack of privacy are unfounded) the bathroom does have a glass door but is totally opaque.
The breakfast gives the most expansive choice I have ever seen in any hotel. Coming back on an afternoon there is a selection of tit-bits to eat available in the bar together with water and hot drinks.
The position of the hotel is excellent and is just 500 metres from Las Ranbles which means there is no problems with noise.
Overall this is the best value for money hotel I have stayed in. The decor is fresh and modern, the staff are efficient but cheerful, the rooms first class with a daily change of linen and the breakfast is out of this world and includes a full grill if this is your fancy. This hotel must be the gem of Barcelona.
Just a little tip, the taxi fare from the hotel is more than 30 euro, the airport bus is 3.75. This hotel is 500 metres from Place Catalunya, the terminus for the bus. We paid for a taxi (33 euro) which includes a airport surcharge. My advice is take the bus, (we did on return and it only takes 20 mins from Catalunya Place) and if you have difficulty finding your hotel, then take a taxi from Catalunya place. But take my advice ,use the the H10 Universitat and enjoy a wonderful city from a gem of hotel.
