My girlfriend and I booked a weekends stay for my birthday through a website that offered a "romantic double" package which included a bottle of cava, strawberries and chocolate, room service breakfast and a later check out time. All I can say is that we had a fantastic time in Barcelona; the service at this hotel was first class. The location really is very good; a two minute walk from La Rambla and the Hard Rock Cafe where we had dinner one night. The staff were helpful and friendly although there was a bit of a mix up with the bill at the end. I would say that requesting a larger room seems to be important. Our room (already listed in another review) was clean, spacious and modern with superb facilities; and a large bathroom sperated by a wall and a door! The air condtioning was a bit poor but then it was November and probably wasn't switched on centerally. The view from the small balcony was good and we were high up enough to avoid street noise; the only disturbance had was a large demonstration early evening which was not the hotel's fault. All in all a superb place for anyone visting the city....unless you want a swimming pool.

I really appreciated the other reviews on this site and I requested an outer room with more space as I was staying a week whilst at a conference. I stayed in room 711 which was spacious, clean and well appointed with a sweet if slightly scary balcony.
When I arrived, the guest in front of me was being quite rude to the staff on reception who were equally rude back. Though frosty at first I found that by being my usual friendly and polite self the receptionist recipricated and gave me a free upgrade to a double room and offered me champagne. The same theme continued throughout the week even down to the lovely woman who cleaned my room and carefully hung up or folded my clothes.
The breakfast is amazing and varied and again if you are polite and friendly to the staff they will go the extra mile for you.

Looking at the floorplan, the inner rooms are clearly tiny, less than half the size of the outer - if you really want to ensure you don't get one of these, email and ask politely for an outer room. The hotel is in an excellent location at the top of the Ramblas next to Catalunya Square.

We have just returned from a trip to Barcelona in a party of 7. We stayed at this hotel and from the moment we arrived we had nothing but first class service from all the staff. The staff comprised of quite a lot of young people and I can say they were helpful,friendly and polite at all times. The hotel itself was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. It's proximity to placa catalunya made touring the city easy. Transport is cheap and reliable, trains and buses leave and arrive on time, a pity it's not the same at home.
I can safely recommend this hotel and Barcelona. Oh and by the way the breakfast was excellent.

I booked the H10 as part of my girlfriend's 30th birthday present.
I wanted it to be a special trip so emailed the hotel before we went to ask if we could have a bigger room.

On arrival the reception staff gave us champagne and a warm welcome.
Our room was excellent. 512 for those who are thinking of requesting.
I travel quite a bit with work and have to say the breakfast at this hotel was one of the best I've ever experienced.

The hotel is also in a brilliant location for all the sights.
Summing up I'd strongly recommend the H10.

The service throughout our 2 night stay was first class and when we return to Barcelona, we'll be staying here again.
