Description: Chulapio Bar a Crepes is a small bar in the heart of Barcelona, the Gothic Quarter, one of the most central and busy areas of the city. This cosy creperie perfectly combines traditional crepes and galettes from Britanny in France with cocktails, aperitifs and the best gin and tonics. The galettes, or savoury crepes are made from buckwheat flour, preserving the traditional Breton recipe. All ages are welcome at Chulapio. Not only tourists but locals and residents passing through the Gothic Quarter will come across this fun and energetic bar with a great atmosphere- the perfect mix for socialising and enjoy the great crepes and cocktails.

Wonderful! Let me say that again - WONDERFUL!

We happened to stop here looking for a light dinner - just walking by. It is tiny, but the ambience is terrific. The crepe menu is compact, but offering sweet and savory selections. Beer, wine and sangria are available. We had strawberry crepes. I had a beer and my dinner partner had a white wine. Tasty tasty! Price for dinner? €14. Beat that.

“Super-yummy!”

Friendly, great drinks and crepes, made a great start to our evening! The owner really seemed like a great guy and welcomed us warmly, despite us being pretty worn out after a long day of hiking around...

“Small, personal, and excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

What a great little eatery. It only has a handful of tables in a very informal settings, but this just adds to the character and friendliness of the place. Crepes and cocktails are the mainstay of it's offerings, and all are delicious and great value - and the crepes are deceivingly filling. Full credit and respect to the guy who seems to run the place on his own (sole proprietor/owner?) - who was so enthusiastic and friendly and accommodating. Give this place a visit instead of going to some disinterested chain restaurant, you won't regret it.

“Deserves all its accolades”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

It is what it is-great at what it does, producing excellent value pancakes from quality ingredients at great lunchtime prices. All credit to the single member of staff when we went on a Saturday lunchtime. Be prepared to share as pancakes came out in rota between tables with a bit of a wait in between. In truth one would have been plenty between us- we especially loved the ham and cheese one with egg.

“Seriously, how good could a crêpe really be? Wrong, it actually can be THAT GOOD!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013 via mobile

Such a cute, tiny place. A simple menu that is delivered with best quality, friendly service and you feel the staff care! The crêpes were delicious, the mojito well mixed and we did not have space for a desert crêpe anymore!
The music was a tad loud for the occasion... But we really loved it.
