We went to Teleferic on a cold and windy evening when we originally had reservations elsewhere but wanted to stay closer to our hotel...and we could not have made a better choice. The restaurant was crowded but still felt comfortable and allowed for easy conversation. People were standing at the front of the restaurant enjoying tapas and then tables in the back. There are essentially two ways of ordering. Certain larger items are ordered from the menu, we had patatas baravas (thinly sliced fried potatoes with spicy sauce) and a wonderful, tender steak. We dont often like our steak very rare, but our server (one of the owners) asked us to try since it was the best way to eat this steak, and she was absolutely right. Other tapas is in a self serve fashion with a counter of hot tapas and then a counter of cold tapas. Each small plate has a long, colored toothpick which designates the pricing. At the end of the meal they count up the sticks. We had a variety of warm tapas all of which were excellent. Beyond the great food, we had a flavorful and refreshing sangrias. On top of all this was really great service. The brother and sister owners, Maria and Xavi, make you feel extremely welcome taking time to talk, joke, explain, and generally create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We hated to leave the warmth in all senses of the restaurant to go back out to the cold, and are sure to return to Teleferic many times in the future.
