“Wonderful Evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2014

This was a real treat! We greatly enjoyed our evening with Kaye. She really paid attention to our likes and dislikes and tailored the tour around us. We appreciated her effort. Kaye took us to some great spots and we loved the variety we were able to sample.

“A great way to start your trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

Good food, good wine and good company! The tour was a superb way to get around and see some of the city. Kaye is a great guide and has excellent knowledge of the city for a Londoner :-) When your guide is up for an after hours cocktail you know your onto a winner! I would recommend the tour to anyone - young, old or somewhere in the middle. Thanks Kaye!

I am pleased that you enjoyed the evening. It was great to show you both around the real Barcelona, my adopted city. I hope that you managed to go to some of the local events I mentioned and had a great trip overall.

Till the next cocktail!

“One of the highlights!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

We loved our Brunch tour with Kaye - ate like Kings (and queens) and tried lots of new things. We enjoyed walking around the Gothic Quarter area, and learned some history and fun facts about the city as we went! My husband can't stop talking about all the yummy things we had the chance to try! A unique, fun, easy-going way to spend the morning and see a great part of Barcelona. Kaye was a joy to hang out with~

“Would have liked to have more "local" foods”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

I think the quality of the tour was good, but it didn't seem to focus on local foods as much as I would have hoped. Margaret was very pleasant. She speaks fluent English and was eager to answer any and all questions as best as she could. We definitely got to see more restaurants and "neat" spots than we would have otherwise, and from a local's perspective, which was great.

Thanks for taking the time to post a review of BarcelonaFoodTour.com.

Your guide that evening was actually a native New Yorker who has been living in Barcelona for a few years so she can speak English, Spanish, Catalan, French and Italian.

Our tour focuses on locally-owned restaurants and slow food. We can vouch that all the food we serve are of the highest quality and ones that local people eat regularly. As you may have learned, Catalan food isn't the same as Spanish food so apologies if you were expecting paella, calamares, pintxos and sangria.

There is a lot of French and Italian influence in Catalan cuisine and therefore this is represented and explained during the tour.

We do appreciate your honest feedback and will use your comment to improve our tours. Once again, thank you.
