Myself and my dining partner opted for lunch at Elsa y Fred last Sunday. I opted for the Camembert and caramelised onion coca sandwich and my dining partner had the roast beef coca sandwich. We also ordered a patatas bravas to share. I have to say that the patatas bravas were to die for, probably the best I've had in my 12 months living in Barcelona. Then our sandwiches arrived. Both of us looked at one another with major disappointment. This size of the sandwiches were tiny and for €9.50 a pop I would expect more bang for my buck. Thank god we ordered some bravas too. Don't get me wrong the sandwiches tasted and great and were well presented, but we were really underwhelmed by the amount of bread you get for the price. Needless to say we were hungry again within an hour.
Lastly I'd like to note that the service we received was excellent, attentive waitress who was very friendly and helpful. The the decor inside the restaurant was lovely and had a vintage feel to it, great toilets too!
