Stayed 5 nights with spouse on business visit.
They have a very good reception team, friendly and helpful. The double rooms are plays q

quite spacious and modern, lighting level in the room was terrific for older people. The wide desk, 2 chairs with space for two people was appreciated. Housekeeping was also very good. The mirror in the bathroom as a heater is quite interesting.
The breakfast was average, but meets our expectations for the class of hotel. Underground carparking was tight, again no worst than similar hotels in Spain.
Wifi was very, very, and very slow, down to 10kbps most of the time. One of my email with a 3 Meg attachment took 10 minutes to send. I would give this hotel an excellent score if the wifi speed was at a more reasonable speed.
Wifi speed was slightly better at the lobby.

Dear guest,

Thank you so much for being here with your spouse for business purposes, we've been pleased guesting you and we hope doing it again in the future.

Thank you as well for sharing your experience with all Tripadvisor community, it's very helpful for us to know your sensations and opinion.

Regarding the lights, allow me to explain we have many points of light in the room, between foot lamps, desk lamps, bed lamps, roof lights and bathroom, and each of them can be regulated as liked, but i'm sure we will offer you the best accomodation in your next visit :)

Regarding wi-fi, we have a 2mbps download speed wireless connection, i'm surprised of what you expose and we will inform this to the company who provides adsl and wi-fi network to solve it. Thank you for your advise. We work so hard to mantain wi-fi free of charge and good.

Please don't hesitate in contacting us for further info, i'm at your disposal.

Good location and overall a nice, clean hotel, but certainly seems more oriented towards business travelers. You would think everyone at the desk would be familiar with how to get tickets for major sites such as Casa Mila, Park Guell, etc. but our group of friends each received different information depending on who we talked to. The bar at the hotel closed promptly at 11:00 every night so we couldn’t meet there for drinks after dinner to share our experiences from the day.

Dear McNallyB

We appreciate so much your visit and your interest in approaching the reception to inquire about the attractions of the city, especially if you come in groups, but we regret you perceive a disunion in the information received.

In general, we usually go to the same reservation system when giving an indication, but there are also many places that do not allow the sale of tickets in hotels, and that is where perhaps deprives the experience each of us had to recommend the best available . We note your suggestion and we'll put into practice, thank you so much.

So too, I would like to comment that the bar closes at 23 pm daily and we regret that no options in the hotel, it's a chain politic.

Don't hesitate in contacting us for further information.

I've appreciated the room's facilities in general. It is also a clean hotel. As a negative I can mention the weak wifi we had in some moments.
But this hotel offers an excellent price-quality ratio in general

Dear Alexandra

Thank you for choosing us to spend some days in this magic city, it's been our pleasure to guest you and we hope to do it again in the future.

Please apologize us if wi-fi might be weak for moments. This kind of connection is very strong in common areas, while in the room it might be less strong, depending on the distance from the room until the access point, the appliance the guest use, the kind of connection required by it, and other possible reasons.

Please don't hesitate in contacting us for anything you might consider.

Greetings,

E. Garcia

We stayed in the hotel only for 2 nights during the weekend. The rooms are spacious, but of average quality. The wifi connection was really poor and sometimes non-existing. The location of the hotel is not too bad, convenient located (close to metro station), but also the beach at Barcelonette can be reached on foot.

Room Tip: ask for a room close to the central hall if you want to benefit from the free wifi

We stayed here six nights as part of a group trip. First the positives: The desk staff was helpful in making quick phone calls to arrange/change dinner reservations. A plus of the room is that there was a wooden shelf/place on which to open a suitcase so you didn't have to open it on the floor or onto one of those flimsy collapsible stands. Also, housekeeping was good. The metro stop is a short walk away so that is a plus. What really irked us is the quality of the air in the rooms. We complained to the desk, and they said they could do nothing about the fact that someone was smoking and the smoke was constantly in our HVAC system. This was gross and unpleasant. I have no understanding why this hotel can not have a hard-wired smoke alarm in each room which can not be disabled. Once a room alarm is triggered, guests who smoke should be heavily fined and told to leave. (We were annoyed they didn't offer to move us to another room.) Also, the shower floor was super funky as far as the surfacing, and it felt very slimy and thus unclean. It seemed there were tiles below onto which they painted some kind of substance. It would be a better use of resources if they eliminated the shower/tub and built a huge walk-in shower with quality large tiles on the walls and floors rather than the situation of the present walk-in showers that feature this slimy floor. Continuing the bathroom issues, the clearance of the sink faucet was poor/annoying as it was too close to the sink. The glass counter at the sink was annoying as was the garbage can which was of the tiny-with-lid variety. I never understand why these garbage cans exist as they fill up immediately and then you are having to poke the gross stuff in the can with your finger. It is better to have a large, lined can that is open. The room was very small for two people. If your standards are not that high, this hotel is acceptable. I find that its is better to pay more for a hotel room as the standard varies a lot between an average/poor place which is budget-friendly and a high-quality place which is more expensive but worth it.

Dear Rachel

We are so glad to have had you as our guests, it’s been our pleasure. We thank you choosing us to spend your days in this lovely city! And I’d like to express my gratefulness for completing our satisfaction survey. Each comment and review help us to improve and offer to our clients a better service day by day.

Anyway, as I can see, your experience was not as good as you might imagine before you arrive, fact that I deeply regret , even if our staff makes your stay becomes something special, trying all the time to satisfy every single need of our guest, even if this concerns a room change. Please consider my apologies for this lack.

I'd like to thank all the suggestions and advises you mentioned, I've already passed the proper note, but I also might ask to concede me the possibility to explain that we're on our way to repass all the bathrooms. All our rooms have a daily cleanup, and a scheduled yearly blockage to repass, but there are particular places which suffers more.

Thank you once more to share your experience on Tripadvisor, I put myself at your entire disposal for anything you might consider.

What a great place to stay! Reception staff friendly and helpful on check in. Room spacious and clean. Nice touch of free still and sparkling water. Bathroom provides bath and a separate shower and all toiletries. Mattress was very hard but we got used to it on the 2nd night and had a good nights sleep (Great blackout curtains too) Good wifi connection. Near enough to metro and if you fancy walking to centre takes approx 15-20 minutes along lovely quiet streets- even safe enough walking back late at night.
Overall a very pleasant stay and will return on our next trip to Barcelona
