first time trip to barcelona we pondered over many hotels took the advise of your site.the hotel has a great location close to transport links and the ramblas .the room was clean and quiet with a huge bed .staff were friendly and helpful i would cetainly not hesitate to book this hotel for my next trip to this wonderful city

Booked the Jazz after reading tripadviser reviews and being recommended by a friend. So, the advantages; rooms exactly as they appear on the photos, comfortable, modern and stylish. As stated, they are well soundproofed and quiet. Excellent location - all major attractions are within walking distance, provided your feet are up to it! Didn't have any dealings with Concierge apart from checking in and out, but they appeared friendly and efficient.

Disadvantages: Nothing major, I would agree with other tripadvisers that breakfast is on the expensive side and you would probably be better going out. Had to get up during the nights we stayed to open the window, as the room felt stuffy. Considering the standard of the hotel, bathrobes would have been nice.

Recommendations: Take some good walking shoes! Allow plenty of time to explore the Barri Gotic area and the Cathedral. If you want to rest your feet, stop for a drink at a great chilled out little Wine Bar called Optimus (C/Del Call No 19), great wine & beer, great prices and tapas thrown in. If you only do one thing though, visit the Sagrada Familia (Gaudi's unfinished Church). This is a MUST and worth every euro of the entrance fee.

Hotel Jazz is an excellent hotel. Great location for business or leisure. Extremely clean , very modern. Soundproofing is great since it is right in the heart of downtown. Pool area is great for relaxing after a busy day. Only drawback is the lack of a restaurant. Breakfast is served or there are Starbucks and many restaurants in the area. This hotel is well worth the money.

Clean room with wooden floors, very nice bathroom, expensive breakfast served in room! Only wish the rest of Europe would learn from Scandinavia and get rid of the "arrangment" with sheets and blankets and use a comforter instead! Who used the blanket last? Some disturbing noice from the subway. Location is perfect, walking distance to "everything"!!! If ever in Barcelona again, we will return to Jazz!
