I stayed at the pulitzer a few weeks ago. It's a really nice looking, chilled out comtemporary hotel, which was our first impression. Our room was small and had a huge pillar slap bang in the middle of the room right beside the bed which is a bit deadly if you've had one two many mojito's ! (Yes I did bang my head!) It also takes the look off the room and you have to navigate around it when doing anything, it's the design of the building obviously so it can'tbe changed it's just it's a shame the pillar couldn't have been in a store room instead :) Other than that the bed was comfy and no other room complaints at all. The hotel staff are lovely, especially at reception. They are so helpful with any questions/maps. Really great in fact. It was my husbands birthday which was noticed by Ana at reception when we checked in which was a nice touch. When we arrived back on the birthday day, there was chocolate cake in our room and a nice happy birthday message. What a lovely thing to do. I've stayed in many hotels during birthday's before and never had that happen. Thanks again for that :) Breakfast was really nice. The hotel is in a terrific location just off Las Ramblas. I would stay again without hestiation but personally I think I'd prefer to stay in Barri Gothic or El Born just as I love those area's. One other thing just to mention, the roof top terrace was closed as I guess its not high-season , it was one of the reasons we picked the hotel , well it was techically open but unmanned all the time even though the hotel seemed to be quite busy, we could bring a drink up there but one day it was completely closed. Might be worth mentioning that on the website that it's usually only open during high-season.
