Friendly atmosphere and stuff, charming environment situated in a beautiful area! An excellent place for a stop after a long walk in the old town!

“Enjoy the twists and turns!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013

El Born is so much fun simply to walk around. The streets are narrow and filled with cool/trendy shops, cafes, salons, and other random tiendas! As a whole, the neighborhood also offers a few good museums and historical sites. I've walked through a few times, once during "siesta hours" and most of the shops were closed.

“Quieter but trendy area of Barcelona to relax and explore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Less busy than the Bari gothic and much less than the essential but touristy Ramblas. Trendy shops, great eateries and good places to visit, stroll around have a glass/ bottle of cava opposite the church of Santa Maria del mar, befor considering tapas and a further quick trip to port vell and the beach, or back to the hustle of central barca.

“A Brilliant Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

What luck that our hotel was on the edge of El Born. It is similar to the Gothic Quarter, with tiny streets and loads of lovely tapas bars and restaurants. It is definitley a great place to be located as it's not far to walk to Las Ramblas or the Gothic Quarter.
