Hotel poorly signposted and very difficult to find.

Abrupt, unhelpful staff at Reception. No welcome, no use of surname, no restaurant directions, no Internet information. Despite having paid in advance for breakfast, was initially told it would be extra. Credit card details jotted down on a piece of paper and placed in an open drawer. Card wouldn't open my room door. Had to take my suitcase back down to Reception - and back up again ( I am 70 years of age) Walls scuffed and dirty in my characterless room. No toiletries in the bathroom. Only staying for one night for an early morning flight, otherwise I would have walked out.

Four star ?? On a bike....

Arrived late in Barcelona for an international connection at 10 am the next day. Tryp Barcelona has an airport shuttle that runs frequently. Check in and check out procedures were fast and friendly. Room is very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. For the purpose of an overnight-near-airport hotel - this was an excellent experience. Could have been cheaper -

I only had the 'pleasure' of staying here as my flight was cancelled. After queuing for 90 minutes at the Barcelona Airport hotel, we were taken here by American Airline's and just left at the door with no further assistance. Check in was simple although no credit cards were asked for so when I tried to get some water at the bar I couldn't, and had to walk all the way back to my room again. The hotel looks modern inside but it far from it, scratch the surface and its very old, tired and grubby - the white walls in between the reception desk and the front doors are black with dirt so this should have been the sign of things to come. My room was on the second floor (222) and looked pleasant at first although the drains or toilet smell terrible. Similar to other reviews, the room was at a temperature so hot it was hard to breathe. The air con vent is in the entrance way, so the entrance is cool but the room is HOT. I tried to get a bottle of water from the mini bar but that wasn't working and everything inside was also hot. The rooms are kind of clean, just old and need some serious maintenance. The laminated wood wardrobes and units are all chipboard underneath and there's obviously been some water damage at some point as its all coming away and the rotten wood underneath is exposed. The window can be opened fully but there is still no breeze and the noise from the busy road means you can't hear anything else. The bathroom was clean but grubby, the toilet, sink and bath looked clean but the floor and wall tiles are grubby and it looks like someone may have just been doing some work in there (albeit very badly). I went for dinner (which American Airlines had paid for) but the selection was disgusting. Nothing was labelled, the green beans were no longer green (all the food seemed to have been there a while), and it looked pretty terrible. I'm used to eating in all kinds of places, but I refused to eat this so left the restaurant or school dinner cafeteria. I asked at reception if I could have another room as mine was far too hot so they gave me a key to another 335 (I think), the room looked much better but it has obviously had just been painted as the paint fumes were unbearable and the laminate floor hadn't been fitted yet or had been fitted badly as there were gaps and it was sliding along the floor as you walked in. I refused the new room and decided to stay as I was leaving for the airport at 4am anyway. When asked at check out how my experience was, the receptionist just looked embarrassed. The best part of my stay was the shuttle - the driver was friendly, helpful and he was also taking me away from this terrible hotel. Avoid at all costs - sleeping in the airport would have been more pleasurable as at least its clean with edible food available. When i asked about an address to complain too - they told me to write it on Trip advisor... I'm not sure if they are stupid or brave?

TYRP Aeropuerto was chosen for our overnight stay in Barcelona because of its proximity to the airport. We travel with 2 mobility scooters and were advised by agent (Hotels.com) that we would be close enough to travel to the airport terminal on our own. (That turned out to be incorrect. It is approximately 10 minutes by vehicle from Terminal 1. We had to make special arrangements with an excellent service that provides transport for disabled.)Regarding the hotel: The facility is located in a business industrial park and appears to cater to business travelers doing business in the local area. The hotel does provide a shuttle service to the airport. The facilities are very clean , both in public areas and the rooms themselves. The rooms are rather stark and offer little in the way of amenities. No toiletries in the bathroom, a small analog type color TV sitting on a plastic stool, bare floors, and absolutely minimal storage space. It was obvious that the rooms were intended strictly for quicky overnight use. That being said, the bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. We did have a problem with the Airconditioning but fortunately the room had a very large window that opened, and let the cool spring night air in. (Summer travelers may not be so lucky) Traveler should be aware that all electrical service in the rooms was European style plugs and adapters are required to use any electrical appliance. The service was unmarked so it is unknown if there was 110V available at all. The restaurant was large and roomy, the service was quite good, and the food was reasonably good. (Equivalent to airport food bars) There was a small bar and sitting area separate from the restaurant facility. Overall assessment is this would be a reasonable choice if one was positioning themselves for an early morning flight or getting into Barcelona late in the evening. Otherwise it is not a wise choice for tourists, but a good choice for the business traveler.

Room Tip: Request a room at the upper levels so you can open the window without concern for intruders.

The Rooms are very okay but have the advantage of being a stone's throw from the Airport with a complimentary pick up and drop off. There was a good breakfast available at 6.30 am. The checjk out was smooth with no hiccups.There was a minor problem of traffic noises from the highway which is just pararell to the hotel sometimes at night.

was a good hotel for our short tryp! also for next time! the staff was very helpfull and we had a late check out without any problems!

Not under any circumstances a 4 star hotel. No toiletries in the room. Noisy. AC barely worked and this was on a cloudy day, would hate to stay on a hot Barcelona night. Very old box TV. Shower temperature poorly controlled- either very hot or very cold. Reception was not very helpful.
