Owner description: Ride to the top, and you'll see! The Columbus Monument which was dedicated in 1888 as part of the ceremonies marking the Universal Exhibition, stands at the end of La Rambla of Barcelona, near the sea. Take the lift inside the column to the viewing gallery at the top, a viewpoint 60 meters above the ground, where you can enjoy great views of Barcelona.

“Nice views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2014

Definitely worth a visit if you're in central Barcelona. Doesn't cost much or take long. Great views out to sea, over Barcelona, and the neighboring hills.

“Beautiful view but not enough space (you cannot walk up it, only use the lift)”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

The view was super and inspiring although a must see on your trip to Barcelona, it is in a quite a confined space and a little pricey although it is worth it. You can see really far and the architecture that can be viewed is unimaginable. So it's a must see.

“Great monument”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2014

Nice to see where one of the worlds greatest explorers started his run. They say that the direction his arm is pointing to was where he was departing from. Cant miss this monument from any location around town.

“You Can't Miss This”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

You won't miss this monumental landmark because its in a prominent location on most people's tour of Barcelona. It is a great tribute to this famous explorer, and the monument has an interesting history too. It's (probably) worth a trip up inside in the lift to the viewing platform. We didn't have the time, but maybe on our next trip.

“A grand monument”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Visitors to Barcelona are very likely to see this monument because of its location, at the end of La Rambla, on the way to Port Vell. Also, the "hop on hop off" tourist bus has this location on its route. It is a fitting monument for an important man.
