This was a great hostel!-Location could not have been better!!!! literally a second away from Las Ramblas,2 mins from Liceu stop off the Metro...a short walk away from almost all of the "sights"
I was traveling solo and made friends with a lot of great ppl!-we all went partying and sightseeing together, had a blast! While the Hostel does take you to clubs in Barcelona, I would ask the staff to suggest lest touristy clubs, they usually take you to a place called Roxy-it's ok, but not the BEST place in Barcelona ...

The bathrooms are cleaned everyday, a very pleasant surprise-and even though the hostel was packed I never had to wait to take a shower-nor was there ever lack of hot water or anything like that. I will say if you are a light sleeper and are trying to relax and rest this is not the place for u. Expect people to come into ur room at all hours of day and night, that said, my room had 22 ppl in it-I had NO problems w/ theft or sleep(day or night)

The staff was Great! They were very happy to suggest places to eat, give directions, or help in anyway possible...I will say it definately helps if you build a "relationship" with them, because I know I got better treatment than a few people staying there during the same time.

I highly recommend Kabul!

Its in a great location but its a dive end of.
The staff are rude, breakfast is terrible, rooms are dark, washing facilities are disgusting, bunk beds are narrow.
I cant say enough bad things.

Our friends were staying in Kabul and allowed us to store our stuff in their locker. When we returned later that night to retrieve our things, management forced my girlfriend and I into a room, called the cops and asked us to pay 50 euro for the use of the lockers. Scared, we payed the money, at which point the police were encouraged by management to arrest us. Luckily, that didn't happen. No commentary necessary. Watch out.

It's considered the best hostel in Barcelona. While I am not sure this is the case (I enjoyed my staying at centric point a bit more), I would strongly recommend Kabul. Its location is perfect -in Plaza real. The place is noisy and perfect to party. The staff is very rough. In my first impression they were all deceptive. Later, in my second day, I started having a better relationship with one or two of them (Mohammad and Scott) -but obviously it was NOT everyone's case. Wifi did not work. The internet service was not good -only 30 minutes free. The main floor has a very nice place to have food and drinks, but you cannot bring your own bottle of wine -and they control everything. In spite of all these small negative aspects, you will enjoy your staying there (unless you want to sleep).
