“Very nice hotel close to barcelona centre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was nice. We stayed there a couple of days and we enjoyed it. It is close to the metro station and close to the centre of barcelona. The receptionist was very nice but she booked a restaurant near the hotel twice for us and it wasn't very nice. I guess she might have taken a commission from the restaurants.

stayed with my family for 3 nights. the room allocated was very clean and comfortable. only thing to fault (not really important) is that we had to keep the curtains closed as the window was to some very narrow yard. the efficient air conditioning and the comfortable bed made for good nights` rest. the hotel is out of the tourist zones but the metro is just 5 minutes walk away so then transport is easy although this may add up to costs in long run. one issue we had, and this is not entirely through the fault of the hotel itself, is that we booked through an agency which did not pass on the message to the hotel for which request we had to pay a bit more. one mentions this so that correspondence is better done direct with hotel. all in all, a very good hotel.

Room Tip: try to get a room with a better view so that curtains may be drawn to let natural light in.

I and my boyfriend were there for 5 days in July. We booked the room 5 months earlier and the price was good compared with the prices for other similar hotels in Barcelona - 80 euro per night. The hotel had everything that we looked for - double bed, fridge, safety deposit box in the room. It was clean. The room is small but we didn't need bigger. There was TV also that we didn't need. The breakfast costs 6 euro per person per day. It is paid additionally. The breakfast is the same every day but we were like it. The staff of the hotel was polite. One additional thing that we wanted was storage room because our flight was later. The hotel offers everything you need on very good for Barcelona price. I reccommend it.

I reserved and paid for a room weeks in advance. On arrival, I was given a room where the beds were not changed, there were human hairs on the pillows. I asked for it be changed and was given another room. There, the bathroom was gross, with old dirty stains on the floor near toilet, which the manager argued were "marble stains" (I attach a photo for people to decide for themselves); one of the two single beds was without bed linen which the manager agrued was not needed since I traveled alone. Two random rooms and both filthy - what does it say about the hotel´s hygiene? The manager was extremely rude and aggressive, mocking everything I was saying, shouting and talking over me. I travel a lot, but never saw anything like this.

Room Tip: I do not wish or recommend anyone to have similar experience, you may be better off looking for anot...

My boyfriend and I went there last week and were wowed from the minute we went in! The hotel was refurbished and looks amazing the service was just excellent!!!! The breakfast just amazing as well!
The minute we went in the receptionist offered us the room key as well as the wifi. After realizing that the beds were single we asked for a double and they said that no double rooms are available but the next morning we could just leave us bags on the bed and enjoy the sightseeing while they find a room and transfer our things for us!
The building in the same road was being built but after closing the windows we realized that they were sound proof and we could not hear anything!!! amazing!!!
The next day we were transferred into a double room and a 5 month old baby was in the room next to ours but we couldn't hear anything!!!

one day our lights went out and they helped us immediately and what ever we needed they were just amazing!

Would go there again for sureeeeeeee!!! Love it!!!!

Room Tip: rooms from top floor down are better and rooms ending in numbers 07, 06, 05 are facing the street an...

Stayed here for 4 nights in June. Spend a lot of time looking at different hotels on trip adviser, wanted a good hotel but had a small budget.

Hotel brilliant for the money we spent (£63 per night i think). Very clean, good size room, not massive but think it was one of only two left when we booked, room faced the road, not a good view but did not send a lot of time there anyway. Air-con worked well, didn't use it over night instead had window open over night, noise from street but live in city anyway so did not bother us.

Staff were friendly and happy to help.

Good location, 15 min walk to busy shopping area L'Exaimple. 10 min walk to metro. This is a quieter area and requires more walking but we walked around the city everyday and loved it.
From the airport its around 30 mins on the R2 nord train to Passeig de Gracia then a 15-20 min walk from there to hotel.

If using metro/train get a T-10 ticket which includes 10 journeys for around €9.60 you can use it for more then one person as well.

We stayed in Barcelona for three nights prior to a cruise. We were very pleased with this hotel. We did not want to stay in Las Ramblas area because it is so busy and more expensive. Besides with a Metro Pass you can get anywhere in the city as it is good on busses as well. Our room was a double and very bright and clean overlooking the street. Its a little noisy during the day if you chose to open the window but by bedtime it quiets down. The room had a/c as well. The beds were very comfortable and we had a very nice and super clean 'private' bathroom as sometimes they don't come with doors in Europe. The breakfast was pretty basic and the same each day but very good and well worth the 6 Euro per person as it will cost you more to eat in a café. Finally, the desk staff were excellent. They were able to answer any question we asked and accommodated our every need. By the way, whoever is on duty doubles as the bartender. All the staff we met there should be commended for the job they do, housekeeping too as they keep the place spotless. We'll be right back there on our next visit to Barcelona!
