“Great food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

After trying tapas at Ciudad Comdal the first night in Barcelona, I was looking for another restaurant that would top it or at least equally good and we came across Cachitos.

The restaurant was literally around the corner from our hotel (Eurostars Cristal Palace) and we had our table outside on an island in the middle of the road. Service was good, food was excellent. Had Iberian ham (one of my must-have list) and it was better than expected, although a bit pricey. We also had tuna tartare and beef tartare among others. All dishes were from very good to excellent. The best of all, to me, was the bread with tomatoes. It tasted like fried than baked, crunchy and not filling. definitely one of the best "bread" I ever had. The home-made ice cream was, well, tasted home-made.

Definitely pricier than Cuidad Camdal but a good relaxing place to go for dinner after a long day visiting places around the city.

“Great food, ok service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

This tapas restaurant ha a lovely setting. We sat at a small table right at the back. The food was delicious and the sangria was good. The staff were a little grumpy but they didn't hurry us out after we finished so not all bad.

We had a group of 6 and this is really a good place to eat. Nice food for a reasonable price. Try the cheese cake! Nice selection of wines. Place is good!

“Funky, Fun and Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

We were a group so just perfect for sharing lots of tapas! Mini warm foie gras stuffed cannelonis, foie gras slathered burger sliders, and again - mi-cuit foie gras toasts with chutney. We enjoyed serrano ham, manchego cheese, croquettes, meatballs and more. The wine list was above average in selection - but narrow. We enjoyed a few bottles of moderately priced Riojas, and with dessert and coffee, Carlos Mendoza and Duque D'Alba Brandies. We were seated on the third floor of this multi-galleried restaurant. This was a bit quiter than the frenetic downstairs filled with the 'young and beautiful' and a preserve for over 35s. This is a wonderful happening place that should be on everyone's list! Priced just right.
