“Affordable hotel near passage de gracia!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

Location:
10 mins away from the passage de gracia train station (3-line hub) which can be directly accessed from the airport via the subway as well. On the walk towards the hotel, there is a small supermarket (Opencar) so definitely pick up some water bottles before heading off to the hotel.

Check-in/lobby:
Front desk was courteous but nothing outstanding. No problem checking into our room earlier around 1-2pm. A computer near the front desk has free access to Internet and you can also print stuff for free.

Room:
Very chic design. We had I believe a standard king room. It's small but it was cozy. View was nonexistent but that's okay, we didn't stay in the room that long. No kettle or coffee maker but boiled water is free from the 2nd floor bar.

Bathroom:
I really appreciated the significant amount of counter space for my toiletries. Clean and modern.

Housekeeping:
No complaints. Were very courteous when we saw them in the hallways.

Wifi:
Free but quite weak from our location and we were close to the elevators. Can't complaint too much bc it was free.

Overall experience and suggestions:
Pleasant stay. Nothing extraordinary but it was comfortable. Area appeared to be safe even at night.

Two tips to make your trip more enjoyable:
1) purchase the "city sightseeing" hop on and off on their website. There is a 25% discount code floating around on the website and easy to search. Saves you a lot of money and rather than taking underground metro, the double decker bus allows for more of a scenic route to the main attractions.

2) download the tripadvisor city guide app (diff from the normal tripadvisor app) and preload the barcelona city guide. It is an awesome app with actual offline maps and compass to direct you to the destinations. Def make my time in Barcelona a lot more convenient and I was able to eat a lot better food bc of it.

Beautiful city. Enjoy!

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Europark Hotel in Barcelona. Just a block or two from the metro, and a 10 minute walk form Placa de Catalunya. This was one of the few hotels offering a triple room. The room wasn't overly spacious, but just enough. Great bathroom (real shower doors!), comfortable beds and quiet. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Would definitely stay here again if I return to Barcelona!

I chose this hotel mainly due to very good reviews on this site and I haven't been disappointed!

The room was fantastic, can't complaint! Nice design throughout hotel, breakfast was good, maybe a tad boring, but hey I'm not a breakfast person anyway.

very good location as close to train to the airport & metro but could also easily walk to the main attractions, like Sagrada Familia or Casa de Battlo.

Didn't have a chance to use the swimming pool as I spend the good weather on the beach instead but it seems to be a nice & small, lovely terrace as well.

From arrival to departing staff were friendly and helpful.Great advice, and bookings. Great breakfast suppled. Roof swimming pool was a bonus. Not far from all sites we wished to visit. Hotel was better than we anticipated, and tariff was also reasonable. This was not our first visit to Barcelona, and we decided to try a different hotel.A very wise move. We shall stay here again next visit. The total experience from reservation to check out was professional, and no problems. Would recommend anytime. Thank you. Ian and Rhonda.

We stayed for 5 nights in a deluxe room with our 6 year old child. Pros: large room, very comfortable, loved the robes and slippers, king sized bed was a true American king size. Rooms and hotel very clean, nice staff. Nice bathroom, good toiletries. Super pro - room service was terrific and very reasonable. We ordered coffee and tea every morning for next to nothing and it was delicious. Having a pool was great for our little one - just know that it is not a large pool. But the deck was lovely and relaxing. There is a small gym as well. Metro station is around the corner and hotel is 3 blocks from the main shopping district and 3 blocks for some major tourist sites. Not a ton of restaurants in the neighborhood, but taxis to the center are very reasonable. We had a deck, but it was small and noise outside on the 2nd floor was pretty deafening (lots of scooters/motos on the road) so we kept the doors closed most of the time. (Totally quiet with the doors closed, by the way). Only downside was that the bed gave us both a backache after 5 nights. Not terrible, but it was a bit soft or something - we each woke up a little sore. But if you are not sensitive about that sort of thing, I think it's a great place to stay and I am very, very picky!

It was a romantic trip and our first visit to Barcelona. The first impression was good as the hotel and the rooms are in perfect conditions. The location is not too far from attractions though quite isolated. During our first breakfast, we could not get coffee from the moody waitresses. We complained to the reception and we were offered a refund of the breakfast price for the last 2 days! Nobody showed interest in improving the service in the restaurant instead. The good news is that we at least got the money back. The bad news is that we had to find a place to have breakfast in the last 2 days. This hotel has no sense of service at all, and I would not recommend it, particularly if you are in Barcelona for a touristic trip.
