As it says above, my room has a serious bed bug infestation. Everry few minutes a new bug or two would appear out of nowhere and it's impossible to sleep. Would have been a perfect hotel, great location and clean, except for this!

After staying at 2 hotels on La Rambla, i needed a break and to save money. This district of Barcelona near the Parallel metro and a short walk to the bottom end of La Rambla, satisfied me more than La Rambla. There were real Catalans living all around the hotel, and nice little local pubs and small restaurants, even workers eateries, rather than only tourist traps. In addition there is a small grocer and food shop, right across the street and it closes at 11pm. The rooms are very nice, a bit trendy even, with straight forward comforts. Quiet. Comfortable. Inexpensive for Barcelona. The lobby is very small but has two free computers with internet. The desk clerk is very helpful, whichever one is on duty. Being away from all the heavy tourism, and just in central Barcelona, was really good for my head when i checked into this fine little fairly priced hotel.

The room was so incredibly small, bathroom was a bit dirty and the walls are paper thin.
The hotel staff were very friendly and English speaking, always willing to help. Being a solo female traveler, the street that it is located seemed a bit sketchy later in the evening. It was a quick walk everywhere and about a 25 minute walk to the beach.

If you wake easily to noises, bring earplugs.

I stayed at Nuevo Triunfo for three nights. The hotel it’s five minutes walking from Parallel underground station and fifteen minutes walking from the port and the Rambla. Rooms are clean and comfortable and employers courteous. I would recommend the hotel to everyone who searches for a comfortable and good price accommodation very close to the city main attractions.

Our condo reservation fell through and we needed three rooms at the last minute at the busiest time of the year in Barcelona. They were able to find rooms for us, one of them accessible to wheelchair, for a week. It was clean and comfortable, the staff was helpful and kind and the location is outstanding, just two blocks off the Paral-lel, so you can walk/bus/Metro easily anywhere in the city. It isn't fancy or upscale, but it was perfect for us.
