“Excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Long story short, definitely recommend staying here. We stayed here for 9 nights and could not have been more happier. We left to Paris for a few days in between, leaving all our luggage and personal belongings in the hotel room, came back and everything was still there! There are also tons of great restaurants/bars just outside of the hotel.

- metro station is right outside of the hotel (stop: Paral-lel)
- 5 minute walk to Las Ramblas
- 5 minutes away to major night clubs (Apollo, The BLVD, The Family, Jamboree, Ocana, many more!). The nightclubs don't start until 1:30-2am. Iif you go before then, the clubs will be empty. Entrance is usually free with the entrance cards, which people outside the club will be handing out, can't miss it!
- 15 minute cab ride to the beach (Beach location is called Port Olympic. Lots of bars, restaurants, and night clubs there, great night life and worth checking out). The tour bus also stops here!
- 7 minute walk to tour bus location (highly recommend taking advantage of the tour bus. A 2-day pass is enough to learn the city, then you can just metro or walk everywhere!) Tour bus passes are sold at hotel or physically in the bus.
- Definitely check out El Born, about a10 minute metro ride from hotel. There are tons of bars and shops there, you can be there all evening (Picasso museum is also here.)
- if time permits, I highly recommend traveling out of Barcelona to a small town called Sitges. It's about a 30 minute train ride from the main train station called Sants Station. The beach there is phenomenal and there are tons of bars and shops. We were there until sunset, it was just beautiful.
- Hotel staff is amazing, they're worth the praise!). This hotel is highly recommended.

To get to hotel from Barcelona airport:
Catch the aerobus (about 5 euros per person) to the first stop called Placa de Espanya. From Placa de Espanya, catch the metro to Paral-lel (L3, green line). You will end up right in front of the hotel! If you plan to use the metro a lot, recommend getting the T10 pass from the machines. This pass allows you to use the metro 10 times. Multiple single passes can get expensive.

Room Tip: The walls are a bit thin, but you can really barely tell. Recommend a room in the back of the hotel...

Nicely situated on a wide Avenue a short walk to Las Ramblas. Friendly helpful staff, very helpful in assisting me put car into hotel's underground garage - garage tight for manoeuvring. Bedroom above average size, comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, poor lighting in main room. As previously mentioned no tea/coffee making facilities, but having had similar experiences elsewhere in Spain we now carry a small portable electric kettle and our own supplies. Had a windowless room but hardly a problem in winter. Good view from rooftop but pool closed for winter. Breakfasts very good, and one dinner also fine.

Stayed Tuesday to Saturday. Hotel in excellent condition and central for a short break. Staff were friendly and helpful and rooms in excellent condition. As stated elsewhere, there can be some noise from outside and sound proofing of windows could be better. We were on 6th floor and only heard some noise on the Friday night.
Didnt eat in hotel or other facilities
Less than 10 min walk to Las Ramblas, 5-10 mins from marina and a metro stop just outside hotel
Would definitely stay here again if in Barcelona

Room Tip: Higher floors will have less noise from busy front street, although we were happy to look onto main...

We stayed here for 4 nights while in Barcelona. The hotel front desk staff were very friendly, very willing to answer questions and offer tips for getting around. The triple room was excellent, beds very comfortable, large bathroom and immaculately clean. We didn't eat at the restaurant in the hotel, instead walking over to La Rambla (about a 10 minute walk) and finding lots to see, do and eat. The Metro is literally right outside the front door, with easy access to Playa de Cataluyna where a lot is going on (Hop on buses, Hard Rock cafe, etc). You can also catch the funicular to Montjuic from across the street. This hotel has good location, great staff and wonderful rooms. The only drawback for us was not having a coffee pot in the room.

Room Tip: All corner units are triple occupancy, large rooms, very comfortable. Facing the street is bright a...

I stayed for a week and loved this hotel. The only problem was that the first room we were given had it's window onto a sort of ventilation shaft. This shaft has little or no light and amplifies any noise. This kept me awake all night and made the room feel claustrophobic. I think the hotel should tell guests, in advance, if they are getting these rooms and charge less for them. I had us moved when a room with a window came available.
