“If at first you don't succeed, try and try again.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

We were going here after it being suggested to us by a friend. Once we got there the place was so crowded you couldn't get anywhere so we went back outside and regrouped.  Coming all this way I wasn't about to let a crowd come between me, tapas and champagne with my friends. So we dove in.

Ordering was a bit difficult but once we had started it was all downhill. We ordered cheese, ham, chorizo, rose and cava. My favorite was the chorizo. You don't get utensils but you can use toothpicks - true tapas form. All the food was great. The rose was good but I feel the cava is best. And all glasses are filled to the brim!

This place is easily one of the favorites in Barcelona and I will be back.

“The best place to eat out in Barcelona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Champaneria has the best meat & sausages in Barcelona. Their sparkled wine is also very delicious. So, don't waste your time looking for a good restaurant in capital of Catalonia, go to this wonderful place as soon as you arrive in Barcelona!

“La Champaneria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

I love the Champaneria. I wish every city had one. It is a perfect place to enjoy some company, some good sandwiches and of course the delicious cava. Nestled near the subway stop Barcelonetta.

“Very crowded, but hey it's cheap”

Sandwiches and croquetas with a glass of Cava. That's the concept and it's popular! The Cava is nice, the tapas a little bit fat. But it was a nice experience
