The Alexandra Barcelona hotel was nice, we stayed there for three days. The staff was very polite and helpful with things to see and do within walking distance of the hotel. Although it was cool outside the rooms were rather stuffy, I asked the desk clerk about it and was informed they had turned off the air conditioning system and turned on the heating system. The only way to cool down the room was to open the window if possible. The first room we had was supposed to be for the handicapped,(we did not need nor request this room) however it would not meet ADA standards for the USA. The room was not designed for wheelchair access, the only area that was handicap friendly was the bathroom. The bed was not the best, you could feel the springs through the covering. In our first room they had put two twin beds together and used twin sheets and blankets. The shower head was defective and sprayed water in all directions, some in the correct direction for a person to shower. Our second room was queen size bed and suffered the same problem as the twin beds. The mattress springs were close to the surface, and not that comfortable, maybe this is the way Europeans like their beds. There were about six english speaking television stations, three were 24 hour news channels the others were part-time and older shows.
The restaurant in the hotel was was very good the portions were good and great presentations. The breakfast was very good, they offered a wide variety of food.

thank your very much for your time and your stay..
I´m sorry if you don´t feel everything was ok in our hotel... I´ll do my best to fix than kind of situations...
