“Good value, good location for flying in or out of BCN”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

My son and I liked this hotel. The staff was helpful spoke English, they had free internet, a 24 hour snack/toiletries shop, an indoor pool (small) and the room was very clean and contemporary. The check in and check out process were efficient. The onsite restaurant and café were fine, and reasonably priced. We thought the sandwiches we got from the café were good.

The hotel had a scale for weighing luggage but it was out of order. The reception area has a computer with internet access that is for the use of guests, and that made it easy to print our boarding passes.

The one downside is that the pale yellow walls of the halls where the hotel rooms are were pretty scuffed up. However, the room and bathroom were extremely clean.

As others have described the hotel, it is located in an industrial park but very close to the bus stop that goes right into central Barcelona. It is easy to use the bus. Plus, they had a free airport shuttle for going to or from the airport. The shuttle left right on time for the airport.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the city and the Olympic Stadium have a bit better view.

Looked at reviews on this hotel and was a bit dubious.
Not needed to worry. Staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional.
Rooms were contemporary and very clean, so too was the rest of the hotel.
Food was excellent.
There are no views of Barcelona and true it is in the middle of concrete buildings, but there is a bus stop outside which takes you into the centre of Barcelona for a few euros.
I would definitely stay here again and would rate this hotel 10/10

Stayed here in June 2013 for a one-night stopover before a flight back home to Toronto. Check-in was easy and efficient but I found the room missing some of the things I would have expected. Maybe it's a European thing, and as a Canadian I just have different expectations. First, no coffeemaker in the room....and I need my coffee before getting ready in the morning. Also, no facecloths - only a little disposable yellow sponge (yes, like a kitchen sponge). They did, however, provide a comb and a shoe-shine sponge (???). Bathroom sink, because of ultramodern design, had no stopper....so no way to run a sink of water, soak a facecloth and sponge off after a 12 hr travel day. Walls were pretty thin so some noise transfer. The pros: clean, modern and sleek. The complimentary shuttle was great to get to and from airport, and the location is convenient for air travel. Bus to city centre was cheap, or if you prefer taxi it was only 9 euros to get from LaRamblas back to hotel. Staff were very helpful and spoke English, so had no language barrier at all. Hairblower provided in room, and wifi was free and fast - a great bonus for us.

Currently staying at this hotel on my final night in Spain after a 3 week trip. Perfect place for one night if you require a hotel close to the airport- but NOT recommended as a long term stay as a Barcelona base. Positives- clean, large room, free wifi, super bathroom, cafeteria open all day till 1am. Food in cafeteria is good and affordable. Restaurant pretty expensive. Free shuttle likely saved 30euros each way. Be sure to book you return to the airport and leave in plenty of time- it takes 20 minutes in traffic. Negatives- as per previous writers- nothing to do nearby-industrial office area. Definitely a stay and sleep only hotel.

Room Tip: Be specific when booking if you require non-smoking. It seems smoking is the norm in Spain.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and had reasonably priced parking. But it is located in an isolated section of Barcelona(the Zona Franca) which exists because of a limited access 'wholesale only' facility adjacent to it. There is no access to normal facilities like stores and restaurants. We did find a restaurant that caters to the truckers that unload their cargo in the area. After a long wait to check in we were at first impressed by the startling modern appearance of the room--especially the bathroom. But we found the bathroom very impractical and treacherous. The shower was impossible to enter or exit without slipping. The shiny modern bowl shaped shower floor was an accident waiting to happen. The beautiful bathroom sink was not designed to retain water. The wifi was not working well during our stay. We had just spent 2 weeks driving around Spain and Barcelona was our last stop. Compared to the hotels in the other parts of Spain, this one was more expensive and not as nice.

As it was late I took a taxi to the Hotel which didn't take long at all but cost €25!

Arrived at the hotel around 11.30pm & were met by two surly male receptionists who checked me in. When I showed my Diamond Rewards card they just said show it when you check out!

The room itself was very smart with good facilities however the road noise was constant through the night with lorries rumbling by. They must use doors made from cardboard as you could hear every slight movement in the corridor, all of which did not make for a good nights sleep.

Had a good room only rate & didn't bother with breakfast.

Overall disappointing & wouldn't stay here again.

Because of location, we booked this hotel for one night for an early morning departure. The complimentary airport shuttle is a bonus. The room and bathroom were large, clean and modern. Hotel staff was pleasant and friendly. There are no restaurants in the area so we had dinner at the hotel and the food was good and portions generous. This is a good place to stay for early morning departure; be sure to make a reservation for the morning shuttle service.
