From what I know, it's owned by an Italian who decided he was fed up working in business and wanted to do something more tangible. They use organic products where possible and don't use butter or additives. They always have a basic selection of standards and a few more adventurous creations like "fig with mascarpone and roquefort cheese" ice-cream (which is delicious, btw). Overall easily the best gelateria in town. Highly recommended.
