“Perfect little break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 days ago NEW

The hotel is in a great location close to all transport links and within easy walking distance of the Ramblas and the Marina. I'd highly recommend a trip to the Sagrada de Familia, just jump on the subway at the end of the road and it's just 3 stops away. It is absolutely breathtaking!!! The hotel itself is very clean, modern and the staff very helpful.

Great location, just 5 minutes walking distance from Placa Cataluña. Very good decoration, that gives the hotel a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
My (single) room was extremely small, but nicely decorated, very comfortable and with everything that I needed (TV, free wifi, safe,...).
The breakfast room was gorgeous! I loved the sofas, and the decoration. The terrace also looked great, but it rained during my entire stay, so I couldn't use it more...
Breakfast could be a little better. I was there for four nights, and the bread was a bit hard sometimes, and the orange juice was bitter - but it was freshly squeezed, though!, and the coffee was just terrible...they had a machine for the coffee, and I tried all varieties, but the taste of the coffee wasn't very good and it was foamy. But they had tea every afternoon, and a service of wine and tapas afterwards.
Also, the internet was really good. Available for free in all areas of the hotel, and very fast.

Just stayed here for the 2nd time.
Didn't get our deluxe room until 4:30pm but a free cava eased the wait.
The room was lovely, spotlessly clean with a great terrace.
The hotel is in a great spot only 5 mins walk from Las Ramblas. It's very well maintained and the staff are all very nice.
Will certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the internal terrace. Our room was, no. 216.

Nice hotel, good sized rooms, pleasant stay. It was advertised that there was a cocktail bar there, but could not find it. The decor was amazing and very clean. I highly recommend this hotel. It is very close to Barri Gotic and Las Ramblas

Dea Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions of the Hotel GranVia!

We inform you that we do not have physically a bar but we do have some pushbuttons located on the terrace and on the main saloon tables as well as the menus to call the waiters.

We hope you can stay at the hotel when you come back to Barcelona and enjoy a great meal or drinks in our terrace!

Kind regards,

The Granvia is a great hotel in a great location with excellent facilities. Clean, stylish & quiet it was as described by previous reviews. Staff were attentive, The terrace & public areas were very comfortable with free internet & WiFi. Rooms were great & spotlessly clean. This is a perfect hotel for a visit to Barcelona & at the price, a real bargain.

We vissited Barcelona for 4 days in our first anniversary. The city is adorable. Weather was sunny in the morning and slightly chilly at night, perfect for us!
The hotel was great.. Very clean and the terrace was enjoyable (good for smokers). I loved the interior if the hotel, a bit vintage and at the same night not gloomy or dark at all. The location is very good, its 4 minutes walking from Placa de Catalunya and still in a nice street, not very crowded. Also there is a huge Zara store is just around the corner. They knew it was our anniversary so they got us a complimentary champagne bottle, which we loved!
Great stay at this hotel, I highly recommend it.

We had stayed at this hotel about 3 years ago (1st time we came to Barcelona). It was originally styled with enormous character. The salon had a lot of chaise lounges and gold fin de siècle mirrors and it was very elegant. On a recent visit apparently the hotel has been totally redone (including the rooms) to a much more modern, airy type of décor. It is rather nice and I guess if you like it or don't it would depend on your personal taste. I like it both ways. It was very elegant in its former incantation but the redo is also very nice. Location still remains excellent.
