“Scenic walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

Scenic walk filled with tourists and performers. The beach area is pretty nice and relaxing, with people lazing around the area. Good place for nice photographs to be taken.

“Relaxing walk. Don't eat there!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

The port is beautiful. You can walk or cycle throughout the port until you reach the beach. You can also take a boat cruise. There are plenty of bars and restaurant but I don't recommend eating there as everything is overpriced and you can find much better food at the nearby Rambla or gotic quarter.

“The old port that looks new”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

I was told Port Vell means the old port. However, you will see a place with brand new facelift which offers a strong contrast to the Gothic area just across the street. Port Vell stretches from the Columbus Monument to the Barceloneta, offers endless possibilities to enjoy your leisure time, such as Imax Theater, Aquarium, Maremagnum Shopping Mall and many other eating joints. Following a long historic process, the Port Vell, with its landmark buildings and monuments, now gleams like one of the most valuable pearls on the coast.

Walk up the wooden plank bridge to view the privately owned boats that dock in the harbor. Cable cars are moving up the tower. Sea gulls are flying free. Columbus standing tall on the monument. Water sculptures floating on water. At times the bridge will open up for the boat to pass through. What a magnificent sight.

Don't miss it. It is one of the Bus Turistic destinations (Red Route).
