Our family had such a wonderful time at this hotel. Fantastic rooms with great views, outstanding food and service second to none. Everyone on staff goes out of their way to make your stay wonderful. When one of the staff (Camille Georgiama) found out our family was there to celebrate my 50th birthday- she had a little champaign and cake delivered to our awesome room. With a hand written note to congratulate me and welcome us to the hotel. That sure doesn't happen at many properties. So hats off to the team at the Art's- we will be back and recommend the property to anyone going to Barcelona!

We stayed for 6 nights at Hotel Arts and it was a great highlight of our vacation to Barcelona. Not only the hotel is gorgeous (especially the flowers), but most importantly, the staff is impeccable. They are mostly young and from all over Europe, bringing a very lively and modern feel to a luxury hotel. We went at the pool every day, went to some restaurants in the hotel (a bit pricey but all good) and relaxed a great deal. We had a standard room, which was large enough, great bathroom, very nice view. I loved staying at the Barceloneta/ port area instead of the city center, as you get another dimension of Barcelona, perhaps a bit more relaxing. If I go back to Barcelona, I would stay in that hotel again for sure!

Room Tip: The view is everything, if you can even have a partial view. As in anywhere, the higher, the better...

Fantastic stay at the Art 's hotel. Check in was swift and painless. Once we'd worked out we needed to turn the key in the lift to get to our floor we reached the 32nd floor. Luggage was in our room when we got there.
B&O sound system and complementary water by the bed every day. Amazing views and lovely room that we didn't really have time to appreciate. Bathroom outstanding, with Asprey toiletries.
Staff on hand throughout the hotel to direct and assist, all polite and helpful with smiles.
Breakfast was out of this world, English usuals, continental, toasted sandwiches, dumplings, crepes cooked fresh, fruit, champagne, freshly squeezed juice, you name it, it was there.
We had a thunderstorm 1 morning so the patio was off limits, they quickly opened another restaurant, and if there was anything else you fancied from the other restaurant it was quickly fetched. All with polite efficiency.
The pool was comfortable and complementary bottles of water and apples were delivered constantly. Also a free smoothie at 10am went down well. Jugs of sangria were delicious, and the staff as in the rest of the hotel, did everything they could to help us relax and enjoy our time there.
Cocktails in the evening pre dinner were lovely and refreshing, try an MKM, and the staff in Frank's bar were excellent after dinner, even at 3am.
I would would thoroughly recommended this hotel.

Room Tip: Floor 32 had amazing views

Nice building, staff and location. But for a 5 star hotel, charge 25 EUR for 24 hours of internet access is ridiculous! Also, my bagages took almost 2 hours to arrive in my room, the windows were so dirty, and the logistic inside is so confusing with the elevators (I had to change 2 times from the lobby to my room). In my last day, I woke up with somebody in my room! Don´t know if staff from cleaning, but anyway... things that you do not expect from a hotel of this level. Good, but with a lot to improve.

Hotel Arts is located on the marina. It's two doors from the Pullman, and the W Hotel is further up the beach. This is a spectacular hotel, the service is top notch. We had suites so we had access to the private club on the #33 floor with amazing views which included free open bar all day and breakfast, lunch and evening foods available. This was worth the extra price of the suite alone. This hotel is reputedly favored by celebrities (we met Sean Penn in the elevator). The grounds are excellent, the pool area is lovely and the poolside service is very attentive - nothing is too much trouble. The downsides. Drinks and food are outrageously expensive. A milkshake poolside cost 20 euros after tip and delivery - cocktails are similar prices. Also, the food is not kid friendly. We ordered a mac and cheese which turned out to be made with lobster and chilli - 43 euros with tip and refused by kids. We then ordered two pastas with butter and the chef cooked it in lavender, herbs and garlic - cost 55+ euros and once again kids refused to eat it. I understand it's a high end hotel, but when it comes to kids meals, they need to keep it simple. The upside is there are tons of restaurants around the marina where you can eat for a fraction of the price - everything from seafood to Burger King. We ate at the Italian restaurant directly opposite the hotel, it was so good we returned the next day. There is also a convenience store in the marina where you can buy water and other sundries for your room, plus public underground parking. Pool is not heated - hot day but cold pool meant it went largely unused. When you are paying such high prices the pool should be warm enough to swim in. This would have been a perfect visit if we'd been on a romantic weekend, but not a great choice for families with kids due to the cold pool and difficulties with the food.
