“AMAZING IN EVERY WAY!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

The Hotel Arts is nothing but phenomenal!
From the helpful, friendly staff to fabulous food, excellent service and an amazing Club Lounge.

From a business and personal perspective, the Arts gets thumbs up all the way.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are the best - slightly bigger. Executive Suites have a mini living area too.

This was really the perfect hotel. The minute we arrived we were welcomed by a army of people. The flowers were beautiful everywhere in the hotel. We were welcomed each time we arrived back at end of each day and the advice on restaurants was perfect. We went for business combined pleasure and both were met with this hotel.
The only thing I guess is it is expensive and we really didn't use the bar or hotel restaurants due to this, which is a shame. There are plenty of great ones near by though.

Room Tip: ask for a room over looking the sea and beach.

A great hotel, great room, excellent location.

The room was huge. This was a normal room, too, and not any upgrade. If you're used to European hotels that coulda/shoulda been a phone booth, this ain't that.

Pluses: room size. We were on a corner so perhaps the layout was a bit different, but the room was huge, with a king bed, chaise, chair, and plenty of room between them.

Sleep - good bed, good pillows, cool room, a good sleep

Climate control: room was cool, as we liked it. It was a rainy day, so humid, but we did not feel it in the room.

Bathroom: a tub, a separate shower with a waterfall showerhead up above plus 2 "body" showerheads below. Good pressure and temperature.

TV: good quality flat screen, but as with most European hotels, not a lot of English language entertainment.

View: from our room, the ocean, the beach and the backside of the Frank Gehry sculpture.

Neighborhood: walking distance to train and subway, as well as to the end of Las Ramblas (your desired mileage may differ). On the beach, with restaurants of several levels nearby.

And we got there at 9am after disembarking from our cruise, and they were happy to check us in.

Negatives: um, cost. We were there on points, but were we paying, we might have missed a mortgage payment. OK, not THAT high, but not cheap either. Also, the room was so good we did not mind, but they did not give us the upgrade that Marriott Gold should have received. Unless the corner room was considered an upgrade. Still, the room we got was good enough. And they did offer the free wifi benefit.

Would we stay there again? Well, it would depend on the cost, but OH YEAH.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner

I found the standard of decor and care for customers very good at the Hotel Arts.

On arrival I was upgraded to a two bedroom apartment from a 1 bedroom room.

This duplex apartment was fantastic, with a terrace. It would have cost much more than I paid having booked in advance.

The location was awesome so near the beach although I did not get out much due to attending a conference.

Room Tip: The apartments are fantastic if you feel like upgrading or are lucky.

From the moment we arrived until our departure I could not get over the level of customer service. From the Cava and appetizers in the afternoon to the wonderful breakfast bufffet we never felt neglected. The room was spacious with a large bath and shower, Bang and Olfsen TV and stereo. The Concierge service was top notch. Wonderful !!

Room Tip: Southeast corner suite room 1001 has a beautiful view of the pool and beach. Has electric blackout s...

A modern trendy city hotel near Barcelona Beach. Spectacular view from the rooms, excellent customer service, staff that exceeds expectations.
Wonderful breakfast on a magnificent terrace, beautiful swimming pool, extra-ordinary flower decoration, nice rooms, good beds,... all the way it should be.
Try to book a Club Room and you get free snacks and drinks on the 33rd floor - free electric car to visit the city - although near to Metro.
A bit disappointed about Arola restaurant. The tapas look nice but they lack "balls" i.e. they don't taste "wow". They miss salt, pepper and herbs and the staff doesn't always know the ingredients. Pitty - the only thing to improve.

Room Tip: Book a Club Room - being member of Arts Club will exceed your expectations !

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Arts during the Formula One weekend.
We had a deluxe room at the 12th floor with part sea and part city view...very nice...
Room was well appointed in a modern decor.
Hotel is located on the beach in a very vibrant area with many bars/restaurants etc around.
All hotel staff were on the ball and any requests were promptly followed up without any delay or hesitation. Can't remember the time when staying in a hotel that after ordering room service, I actually got a call that food was on their way to my room...nice touch...
Again, no issues encountered which is not something I would expect for a hotel which was at 100% occupancy during our stay.
Staff were extremely helpful and well geared up for the many guests in the hotel.
Well done Hotel Arts and for sure will be there again next year for the F1 !
