Owner description: Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains. A visit to La Pedrera, landmark building and container, gives us a better understanding and appreciation of architecture and transports us to the period when Antoni Gaudí lived.

“4th visit - still fab!”

Well worth it - the roof terrace is amazing and the apartment is fascinating. Thoroughly recommend. We only waited for c.20 minutes in a queue.

“Excellent views of the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2014

We attended a concert here at night and it was wonderful - offering amazing views of surrounding Barcelona. The architecture is very interesting and the concert set up of simply sitting around in the steps was relaxed and cool. I would definitely visit again.

“Sadly, the exterior is currently being cleaned and repainted,”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014

So, the entire exterior is covered by scaffolding and a huge advertisement curtain through the end of the year according to one of the employees. There is no way to appreciate the entire structure as intended while this work is going on, so go with that in mind. Meanwhile, the interior of the building is open to viewing as is the rooftop terrace with all it's fanciful forms. The roof affords some views of the city including Sagrada Familia. The attic, with all it's brick arches was stunning. Overall, we were disappointed we were not able to appreciate the building in it's entirety, but still glad we went. Admission is 15 euros in the long line, but look for the fast admission entrance at the corner and pay the extra 3 euros to go right in.

“Reconstruction”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014 via mobile

The whole building covered with a shield for reconstruction, so actually you can't see anything. You'd better move on directly to Casa Batllo

“Expensive rooftop visit”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2014

I didn't like the experience of visiting casa mila rooftop for 18 Euros. That was a waste of money just to see the rooftop. When i visited Barcelona the facade was being renovated so i didn't even get a good look on that.
You pay the entrance fee and take the elevator to the rooftop. Have a nice view of Barcelona and then visit an exhibition that shows Gaudi's work (the same thing that you see in Sagrdada Familia, Casa Batllo etc). You then visit traditional flat with traditional furniture and pass by the gift shop and that’s it.
