“Tourist walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

An interesting street, with a large path to walk on in the middle, and single lane vehicle traffic down each side - watch out for the cars, they travel quickly for the crowds present on the centre pathway. Many tourist shops in this centre pathway, with some more on the sides of the road. Stop at the market (very interesting), or use the street to access the port, or old parts of the town.

“The Heart of Barcelona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Las Ramblas is a long pedestrian mall ending at the Barcelona waterfront. It is ringed by shops and neat sidestreets with their own charm. Las Ramblas also is unique for having specialty sections for vendors. There is a flower section and a bird section in addition to many outdoor restaurants and souvenir shops.

Although pickpockets can be a concern, it is great fun in good weather and very heavily visited. My wife and I visited Las Ramblas several times and enjoyed every experience.

“Walking zone”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Interesting street, very vivid, pedestrian zone in the middle, traffic on sides, leading from Piaza Catalunya to Columbus statue next to the seaside. When being on Rambla don't forget to see also the market place. Look up to top of the buildings - each having a different and interesting facade.

“Sad, as most stores sell the same chinese made trinkets ”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

I was disappointed because unlike Madrid, Barcelona appears to have been attacked by cheap chinese trinket shops.

This is the place where you find those shops with cheap t-shirts and crap you find at every tourist trap around the world.

Pricing is high and quality... Low.

Good to visit once, then never come back again.

The only redeeming things are the artists that sometimes are in this area.
