I was told it was amazing, best thing to do etc etc
I found it a nice experience but wouldn't go overboard with praise.
There is a consistent buzzing from the annoying Eastern European/Asian chaps selling these stupid whistle things and stall after stall of tourist junk. This s where you have to be careful as crowds gather and pickpockets are rife (just off La Rambla I saw at least 3 handbags in alleys that had been someone's spoils of the day). That said, there are lots of police around.
The part closer to the port is much better with artists and acts, must tbh it was much of a muchness and there were like 10 artists all doing the same caricatures, or loads of watercolours etc etc.
It was a nice way to walk off dinner. But be aware that prices on La Rambla are much more than the side streets off it and just as good.
